something has just dawned on me how can our custys ask us if we are proper window cleaners using WFP when they don't understand starting up as a traddy is very cheap compared to building a WFP system in my eyes a wfp system is more expensive and i don't see how a wfp can be any less proper than a trad window cleaner ?

i mean do people think its just tap water in a pole or something ?

Dictionary defines an amatuer as someone that does it for fun or love without financial gain.

Defines professional as someone that gets paid for a task or service.

Does not mean a Pro is any good.

When I switched to wfp about 8 yrs ago I had a customer constantly moaning about the water that was left after the clean.

Eventually she cancelled the cleaning saying she didn't like the water being left on the sills.

I really wanted to wait until the next downpour and go and sit outside her house and watch her 'protect ' her window sills!!!

I think what the customers are saying is.... Anyone can wave a pole at a window but not everyone can squeezee them dry properly. Not my opinion of course

8 years ago there was less of an acceptance by the public to wfp than today. 12 years ago it was even worse, especially by our older customers.

We wipe the lower sills with a towel and/or squeegee after we have done. However, we have seen on numerous occasions a small pool of water drain out from the inside of the window frame leaving a dirty mark after it has dried.

Nothing is ever perfect. A trad cleaner will not be able to get window frames as clean using a cloth as we do with a brush. (We were trad cleaners before wfp for a short time and we wiped the frames over).

There are still people out there who would prefer a trad cleaner. Don't ask me why. If they don't like the system I use than that's fine. I accept that and move on - there is no hard feelings or resentment on my part. They are free to choose whatever they want. I know we are able to do a good job in 99.9% of cases. If they say differently then that's their opinion, but just because they say it doesn't mean they are right.

Yes they do. I get told regularly that I can use there tap, save pulling all that hose out. Also have had a few say they would like the insides cleaned but are worried about the water on the carpet .

I started in June with WFP.

My first day I picked a very sunny day and a row of 6 terraced houses occupied by elderly people....when it passed their test I knew I was on a winner...sun was right on the front windows.

I haven't had one single complaint from the round in fact they have more than happy with the frames washed down as well.

I have also gained five 3 storey buildings that I was unable to do before.

Probably one of my best buys ever...it is almost literally twice as quick.

I never gI've a second thought or mention it I just turn up and clean. occasionally I get asked what it's all about but to be honest I usually look more shocked than them and say, "really you've never seen it before"? then once I explain the safety aspect, that it's quicker, cleans your frames better etc they always think it's brilliant. the odd few that have had bad experiences before also seem impressed when I explain why there windows spotted, I tell them it's operator error and if they ever have a problem with it to ring me and I'll be straight back to sort it.

I've had one or two comment along the lines of, "it's nice to see them getting a proper wash."

I know they were being cleaned well before but it's the perception some people have.

do you like running around and playing with you kids and grand kids at xmas time ? they always say yes

then I say , so do I , that's why I am not on a ladder and runing the risk on my being in a wheel chair with dribble comeing from my mouth and my wife having to change adult nappy all for ten quid when put like this they never say anything again said it to loads now

Funny I can't stop laughing

Customers don't care how much or how you clean there windows and frames so long as you clean them leave no water marks or drips and clean the sills there happy and will keep paying to be fair its the window who's choice to use wfp or trad easy faster or harder and little slower they should both be same outcome clean frames and windows. Really customers couldn't give hoots how much is spent on a unit

I agree. they all want clean windows and don't care how its done.

Some old people cant get round how wet windows dry clean. " BUT YOU LEFT THEM WET" This is after I explain it in full

Had loads of customer say, " there is an outside tap" FFS. NOOOOOOOOOOO. Here we go again

Some love WFP. I have one guy who says traditional is just pushing dirty water around. Since I started they are miles better.

Its what they think.

When I was a mechanic. We had a customers who had a full service. They came back and said it wasn't running correct.

After checking, it was running sweet as a nut. I told boss to do nothing and tell them it was sorted. This was the days of carbs, when you could alter every setting. Boss wasn't keen on it. He checked car over and agreed after a lot of persuading.

Gave it back. Customer came back a few days later saying it ran 100% better.

People are so ...whats the word ?

People are so......MUPPETS
