What's the best way to set up these 3? Have the pump and controller screwed into a piece of ply vertically and then the battery (in the plastic container to keep it dry) being carried into my flat to be charged every few days. This will work from the back seat of my car until I get it a van.

.

Watching this with interest as similar position im in. Where did you buy that lot and how much if i may ask?
Got the gel battery from a battery shop (it's a leisure battery). £40 maybe Got the pump from Daqua £100 and the controller from someone on a forum £35. Got a charger thing as well for the battery £35

Got my battery in back of van and controller and pump secured to ply near my back door...pain in **** keep climbing in to turn on off
As I am still working from my car the pump and controller need to be on a small bit of ply which I can take in and out. Can the pump be positioned on its side so the wood is vertical and not laying flat or does it have to be horizontal? Got a picture? Don't worry if u can't be arsed.

Get a 12v 1000m remote off eBay, that and a 12v 10a pwm controller instead if a dedicated wfp controller have saved me enormous amounts of water and grief.

Don't know if a remote will work with the controller you have, though..

Use a micro tap at end of pole hose just before brush connections....9.99 ebay

controllers in the back on the van ? that's so last year , couldn't think of a worst place for them to get damage when cliamimg in and out of the van

Where do you mount your controllers?
behind the passenger side head rests on the bulkhead , this way there out of the way and dry , you can get to them quick (open one door) , you can see them to check if you left them on befoure going in on a night from the drivers seat , you can run the wires straight along the top of the bulk head and in to the rear channels of the van , where if your clever like me you can feed it down the rear of the ply lining and out thought a small hole again keeping it safe from feet and water ect ect

works well in transit mk7s as the second bat is fitted under the drivers seat with the other one and the split relay can go behind drivers seat on the bulk head inside the cab again out of the way from everything yet easy to get too , buy pulling one leaver and moveing seat forward

Personally I think in the back is fine I prefer near the rear doors as that's the place I work from most

It's what works bet for the individual

Why the attitude?

Someone's asking for advice and help regarding setting up?

It's so last year!and-if your clever like me is hardly helpful really is it

Sure, but then you need to lower the pole to turn it off, and the pump will still waste battery power by building up pressure until the pump pressure switch turns off. That is unless your controller turns off at lower pressure of course.

I need to investigate how they are built and make a diy version someday...

Just what I was after, been searching for something like that but didn't know what they were called. Thanks for sharing
You are welcome!

So you switch off the pump in the van whilst working on the windows? Got a link for these devices. Do they work when you're the other side of the building?

Do they work when you're the other side of the building?[/quoteMost of the time they will work through buildings, but occasionally there is the odd area where it wont. This is why I also have a univalve fitted as well.

As mentioned before, the one click controller is brilliant when a customer is chatting or your van is a distance away, as it kills off the pump stone dead unlike univalves, aquatap, pole hose taps and aqua dapters, so there no back pressure on the pump. Better for the pump and saves energy on the battery /emoticons/smile.png
