I have set up a paypal pay now button on my site and have added a box were the customer can input there customer number so i know who has paid.

On my website i have asked them to put the first line of address in the description box on the paypal page.

My problem is people are not putting address they are just putting anything they like.

so can i change the description to just state services or payment or window cleaning services all the time so the customer does not have to fill the description part in?

Do you have paypal/back details on clean tickets too mate?

It helps to remind them,mines got paypal xxx (please use your address as ref ) bank details xxx (please use your ref as address )

Saying that today I got money sent,with the ref 'window cleaner' handy that eh haha. This was about my second overall blunder though ,rest been fine and think it's cos every clean ticket reminds them to use address

Problem persists, letter them all when doing the clean. IE I'm putting letters out to them here just now ; says 'windows cleaned today' in red,twice! and all the new info I want to give them

I always get this. on my slips it clearly states to use address as payment reference. but I always get one or two that leave it blank. then a few weeks later when your chasing payments you come across those that have paid but you've no idea which is which

i,ve got payment option on back of my business cards the problem I have

I collect ,or other option is BACS

canny get this at. all been paying for months then they stop canny be arsed to press that button

ill stick to bacs, wont kill customers to pay with online banking, everyones got that. plus ppl feel more safer logging into their bank and paying bills than some random site i think.

Some want to send it as a gift so it's like sending cash to family on PayPal. No fee.

I've put them off that due to fear of getting a hefty bill from PayPal

i did think bout a payment thing on my website but its to much stress and i hate paypal from using ebay.
