Ive never knocked on starting the windows regardless start middle or end of day.. they know im due and like previously put if they forgot to open a locked gate thats the only time i knock before cleaning.. reckon the custys would look at me gone out if i did.. suppose its down to each operator how they do things as long as it works for them..

i used to knock customers when i first started and i learnt that it gave them time to say OH NOT TODAY, or COME BACK NEXT WEEK. now i roll up start cleaning on the front then the back. if they forgot to unlock the gate, depending on my mood that day i may only charge them £8 for the front clean or half the cost of the full clean. always worked well for me. if they cant hear you rubbing ya brush along the frames and sills then they are deaf. i always get customers dash to the windows when they hear me cleaning.

I'm with most on this one. I never knock unless they forget to unlock a gate. It's part of why I insist on meeting every client for the quote. They are told from the beginning that I will turn up, Sometime the week they are due and just crack on. Access issues get sorted text night before agreed. Hardly ever get a problem.
