Hi guys, wonder if you could help. I have a 600gpd that has worked perfectly for 9 years. I changed the pre filters a couple of weeks ago and the membranes last year.

Got home this afternoon, checked my in built reader and its saying 145 before d.i!!!!!!

Its also quite, but then makes a shuddering noise.

I've also noticed the waste water is not continuously flowing, it keeps stopping.

I've just flushed the system, no change. Any ideas will be gratefully received

I have a stop valve in the ibc tank that stopped working ages ago. The water level hasn't risen above where it stopped when it was working, so two questions,

1. Could it suddenly be working again?

2. If the valve has stopped the water going in the ibc tank and the tap is still on pushing water through the r.o, would this rise the ppm?

The answer is number 2 so unfortunately your membrane is damaged
Thanks for the quick response @doug atkinson , I've just been outside and pumped some water out the I.b.c tank. Turned it all on, and its working perfectly!!!!

I'm going to remove that stop valve tomorrow, poxy thing.

Just going to keep an eye on it.

Hopefully you will have just caught it in time. But if you see your ppm creep straight up after flushing then it's damaged but hope you caught it in time.

Thanks once again, think my system is haunted for that valve to suddenly work again
