Not working Xmas Eve.

Me & my brother tried the year before last - pulled up in the car, got the ladders off, buckets out..... looked at each other and said - "let's go café instead" - had a large breakfast and then drove home:D

Don't work weekends anyway. Wouldn't work Xmas eve anyway. Family time last minute bits to do ect. Back on it in between an then full steam ahead on the 2nd.

So you are enjoying the holiday then Neil:rofl:
It's been alright so far mate. Had a few nice meals out, done a bit of swimming and sat on my **** drinking the rest of the time. Give it a few more days and I'll have had enough of it all and will want to go to work just to get out for a bit.

all sorted, managed to move all Saturdays work over to this Thursday and Friday:thumbsup:

Going to be a busy couple of days.

I've commented on this before. I did it years ago and felt I was interrupting peoples family time.Have some quality time off and enjoy yourself, you got the rest of the year for grafting
Totally agree with this, but ironically I'm still working on the 27th![crazy]

Well while your grafting you can think of me just getting on the plane to Tenerife /emoticons/biggrin.png
The words 'git' and 'lucky' have just sprung to mind.....

Other words also but I've censored it down a bit. [emoji1]

Ps. Enjoy your time though...

Cheers. Not off to Tenerife until tuesday, Not back to work until the ninth.

All this 'oh, I'm not having a week off as I get behind on my work' seems a bit mad to me. Its bloody Christmas!

The customers know your going to be late, so go back when you want and start your 4-6 or whatever routine you have from that point.

Thought that's what being your own boss was all about. Just my humble opinion /emoticons/smile.png

the thing is not all of us celebrate xmass wich can be a pain in the ars for these people as its just a normal day to them i do celebrate it but i think xmass day boxing is anouth y string it out with a blady bank holiday  barrrr blady humb bug /emoticons/biggrin.png:D:D

I can't see Christmas eve being a problem. Residential customers love getting windows clean for Christmas. I'm not working though - its family time. I won't be back till the new year, the 27th is still Christmas holidays as far as I am concerned.

Working the 29th, only doing half a day, all my non religious/non Christian custies that are due, if I took the whole time off I'd go stir crazy, its bad enough when I get rained off for more then 2 days!

I done quite a few last year, not one gave me a tip and I was doing this favour for them !!!
This made me laugh..

You're doing a favor? Just like all the bus drivers, shop assistants, cab drivers, waiters, bar men, police, firemen, medics, nurses, doctors, care assistants etc etc etc etc. That will work to service us all over the holiday. Are they doing us a favor? Shall I empty my bank account to tip them?

I am now done on regular work for the year. I have a grand total of 1 box of Milk Tray gifted to me by a client. Bothered? Nope. Gonna give em to next doors kids anyhow, staying off the chocolate.

I'm touched that we are all so deeply Christian that we feel this sense of entitlement to time off at this time of year (based on religeous belief of course)

No tips, no tips, waahhhhhhh....:gush: I for one am simply glad that my custys are decent enough look after me all year round by engaging my service, by keeping my bills paid and my family fed.

As some know my wife does domestic work for some of my customers and she's done all right on tips this year but I guess when working inside the home there's more interaction.

Now how much are you all tipping your bin man this year? Milk man if you have one? Perhaps the Tescos delivery driver if you have your groceries delivered?

Where should I send the tips for those nice PPI people that phone me every week to check in?

Rant over.

Nah I'm not working Christmas eve family time for me
