However there are days when thanking God for getting us all back in one piece has to be done.

The Microlite was snug under the gutter whilst I was working on the gutter.

You can see what happened.

12 inches was all it took. Thank god it stoped on the tarmac or I would have face planted the porch.

Am I shaken up? Hell yes. Am I in one piece? Thank God I am. :sweating:

Has a mate who's ladder gave way underneath him, smashed his front teeth and jaw had a few stitches just before going in a cruise to Caribbean [emoji30]

My other mate on ladder stretching over only to fall over breaking his foot. 6 weeks off work [emoji30]

Had a ladder slide from under me few weeks back, luckily there was a paving slab which had risen up 6 inches behind the feet and caught the ladder. Smashed my shins which hurt for a week, and needed a change of trousers lol

I've got those exact mats. I'm not sure what it is about them but I don't trust them. I very rarely use my ladders but would rather turn down a job than take a chance.

Was thinking of getting some ladder mats like that aswell. Would you say it was down to the mats or just a freak accident @Green Pro Clean Ltd ?
It was not the mats fault, it was my own stupidity. The rake was too much and I knew the slabs were slimy but complacency got the better of me. 'Ahh I done this 100s of times it will be fine' well, errmmm, no.

I find they are great mats when you use them appropriately.

Have you not got the ladder m8 yet? I guarantee that slide wouldn't have happened with one under that ladder at that angle @Green Pro Clean Ltd
Yes, it arrived today whilst I was out on the job /emoticons/smile.png)

eBay is great place to look for the m8trix got mine for about £20 delivered.
Exactly where I got mine from.

Emptying gutters??
Roof clean, I was at the clear the gutters stage so yes, emptying the guttering.

Had a telescopic ladder snap on me before painting a hallway in a townhouse luckily i somehow caught the edge of the loft hatch and manage to grab it, still had to fall but it was controlled and a few m2's not all the way down from top floor to ground which it could have been.

Hope your feeling better green, have a rum to settle you.

I see a 6m telescopic recently now that would be dangerous, good in theory definitely scary.

Was meant take 22.5 stone it snapped and i'm only 11 stone (eu approx sort too).

Very lucky there Mr Green, looking at one of those Ladder M8's myself. Let us all know how ye got on with it as I like the sounds of them!

Funnily enough I have two of these.

Left both at home like a prize door handle.

Not ideal for quick ladder work but for jobs like a roof clean where the ladder will remain static and be accessed several times these are brilliant.
