Bitter window cleaner

Do you need a personal account first or can you go straight in with a business page? And I hear what yer saying lads, I have never been one for social media and seen some folk who were hounded like dogs on it by weirdos so that kind of put me off it a long time ago! But you are saying Green that you can remove bad comments that are made and then bar the trolls off your page, this I never knew!

You can't remove bad reviews (you can change the sector your page comes under to products/services which disables reviews though)

You can remove comments on posts and block people

You need a personal profile/account which you don't need to use for anything other than to create a business page from

If you make a purely business profile/account they will ban it

@daveyboy it's total redic lol. If you can't take the time to spell right!!

One here didn't even spell window cleaner right, it was windie cleaner I think..Scottish dialect but still

There is a lot here who clean frames but they don't advertise that they do,and so people assume they are just slap dash. Fb allows you to present your advert in a way it's clear what you do IE doors and frames. Untimatey helping to hopefully secure better priced work too

I have a love/hate relationship with Fb. You get plenty of these keyboard warriors spouting off. But you do get some genuinely nice people.

I disabled reviews due to idiots, and then i suppose just blocking people and carrying on is the best you can do.

Has anyone apart from green ever pumped a lot of money into the paid ads and done really well?

Im thinking more for pressure washing and big jobs than windows

To be honest Adam i haven't needed to in my area but if i was offering other services i would give it a go

I've not done anything more than a total of fifty quid. Got ma some windows but for the add ons it's got to be a expensive promoting page or status boost in spring for me too.

What I ain't sure about is what interests to focus on. IE you can choose upto 12 or 14 customer interests (so it only goes out to a select group) when promoting page or boosting it is think, obviously diy, window cleaning but what else I wonder?

All he's achieved there is making himself look like a tit. One for charging peanuts and two for attempting to muscle in on someone's Facebook post. What a tool. Any decent person who read his comment would see right through him and if they don't, they're not the sort of customer you want and that muppet is welcome to them.

Speaking of Facebook, those of you who don't use it should certainly consider it. I've built my round using Facebook. In the couple of years I've been going I've probably canvassed fifty houses. 75% of my work has come through Facebook and the rest has come through walk-ups, recommendations, leaflets and people seeing my van. It really is a low effort way to gain new customers.

@Green Pro Clean Ltd come on give us a tip! I seen your fb advert and all those roof cleaning enquiries. Lol

How much did you spend on that boost and was there any particulars that helped bring in the right people?

Personally I find Facebook very useful for gaining customers both through Facebook ads and also posting in numerous community groups or buy/sell. However, I think one lady was after something a little bit more than a window clean!!

To be fair on the keyboard S is under W and G is under T so dont go blazing in there thinking your onto a winner and end up getting locked up.
