Depends on tds reading. If low enough you can go di only, otherwise you'll need an ro. WCW do the Facelift 550/600l setup, or the cleaning warehouse do water genie and a couple others, or go to grippatank. All depends in you budget. Tcw and wcw have great customer service as well.

Iv only herd good things about pure freedom that's where I'm going for mine rang up for a price was on the phone 45mins very very helpfully spoke to a few lads who have there systems and they all say aftercare is brilliant and there systems are so easy to use for a beginner

Just ordered a 500 DI setup for March installation from Grippatank, after many recommendations on here. Not the cheapest but I value quality and good customer service above financial outlay.

Hi is grippatank the name of the company that fit them?

I was looking on pure 02 and it's around 5 to 6 k was grippatank any cheaper ?

People don't realise how easy a system is to fit as it is so basic

Even if you paid someone to fit a tank securely the rest is literally pushing pipes together as per instructions and connecting a couple of wires

And a whole lot cheaper

That's a joke of a price mate...I make over 200 a day on a 325 tank facelfit compact ..paid 1k for it if u want the all in one set up.

These fancy sets upd will earn you no more than a basic set up of eBay etc it's a complete joke what these firms are doing now it's all for show ...keep it simple it's only a tank pump and controller few bits of hose joke

Yes. Google them. They've an affiliation with Gardiner's and you can get discounted poles etc with them. Also they're crash tested from a safety point of view and cheaper than you've been quoted.

I did look at xline, who again cost less but listening to the guys on here their customer service is quiet poor.

And regardless of cost it's all tax deductible.

Would it break down more though dave?

Also can you get tanks that filter the water on board as I have no where to have a tank to filer it at home ?

No, plus it'll be easier to fix. And you can fit an ro/di to a van mount

Where are you based would you be interested in doing my set up for me also I can only have a system that filters on board.

Also how often would I have to change ro and di ???? Thanks

This question has been asked loads and there is no right or wrong the end job is the same water on glass but here is my take and opinion.

I went with grippa.

Time is money.

Spend a day waiting for parts to be delivered, protectocote floor and install the system and its all wasted time.Mine was back in just over 24hr fitted and speedliner applied.

D.I.Y or proffesional

For me I hate d.i.y it just isn't for me but one reason is I don't really know what I'm doing. My van has stop start so it needed a different type of split relay something I wouldn't have known. My fuel tank needed to be removed to bolt it in again something I couldn't have done.

(I watched some one having a d.i.y install up a yard near me he couldn't remove the tank so he just missed out and put less bolts and spreader plates down that side)

Crash tested

Now before people start that their only tested to 30mph and straps are fine etc I have a lot more faith and confidence in a company that have invested 50-80k on going to the trouble to find out and have it approved by Mirra or similar as safe than here say from window cleaners if there is even a 1% chance a crash tested system will avoid serious injury or worse for myself or others then that alone is money well spent.

Support

It's back to time is money if a problem is to occur I know grippa which are backed by gardiners have the customer service to deal with it as quick as possible and get it sorted.

At the end of the day it's down to the individual.

The amount most window cleaners claim to earn 2-3k on a business expense that will last at least 5+years is money well spent.

I say leave it to the proffesionals it's a bit like cleaning your own windows when your not a window cleaner of course it's cheaper but that's about all it is.

Each to their own really

I like diy as i am good with that sort of stuff so isn't hard to do

Others like a named system which is up to them but i don't like to pay someone to do what i can competently do like paying someone to clean my windows lol

I'm going for a happy medium when my new van arrives. Grippa are bolting in the tank and fitting the rollers. I will install the pumps, batteries, hot water system etc. /emoticons/smile.png

Nothing wrong with a nice secure tank Steve
True mate. To be honest, I've ratchet strapped the tanks in my last two vans, but I'm going the full monty on this van.

Must say, grippa been very helpful since Oliver been dealing with me. Before that, they wasn't answering my e.mails.

I'm looking forward to it all now /emoticons/smile.png

Any luck with your hunting for a van daveyboy?

Wow!!! That's a lot of money!! I could fit 3 of my vans 2 man set ups for about that and have the shop fit it all... be careful don't get sucked in by all these fancy boxed in fancy units... the water is the same, the controls are the same... it's some real basic **** some clever guys have made look fancy.

The pic I attached is a 650L tank there's 2 pumps and 2 controllers to the right, battery etc.. di vessels... I don't have ro in any vans as already have in garage (I've got di vessels in garage too but add them in van as I'm OCD) think that was £1500 inc fitting (bolted to subframe too) might be £100 or so either way can't remember right now but nowhere near 5/6k [emoji85]
