Glad to see a few others have had a bash at this, yes weirdly satisfying and really goes down well with the public.!!
I had my local papers chief editor contact me today who is running a feature on me about this, photographer coming out tomorrow.! Very excited, not sure how big a report but very keen on the phone of putting it in the news, looking forward to the bombardment of fb likes if I can plug my page on the report /emoticons/smile.png))
That's great.

CSR corporate social responsibility... its all good, we do well and we try and give back, publicity helps to make us busier so hopefully we can carry on giving back!! The more money we make the better it is for the community [emoji1303][emoji1303][emoji6]

I came across this blocking the road today. Couldn't work out which house it had come from as no one was in at all the houses I knocked at.

I managed to drag it to the side of the road and tie it to a tree. Funny thing was that the local rag found it newsworthy and put a photo on their Facebook page

I'm well used to community service mate. I did 180 hours of it back in 2002:(. Safe to say I've done a bit of growing up since those days.

Cheers mate. I've done ten quotes today plus got a pub to quote out of it so can't complain. And it didn't take much effort either.

Does this count! Passed three fallen trees while out canvassing today - does anyone else carry a chainsaw in the back 'just in case'!! This was the last of the day, it was a monster. Managed to get the traffic moving again though.

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] good on you... I don't wanna know why you'd have a chain saw in the back..

I like this thread

I've contacted our local parish council to see if they would like all the road signs cleaned gratis. They have a meeting on 01/03/17 and they are putting it on the agenda. Loads of posh gaffs round here so if it goes ahead I might get a pic in the parish mag and a bit of free advertising. Loads of posh people on the committee too, so you never know. The village hall needs the windows cleaned

I started to get the feeling someone was aiming for me - drove past these places literally 40 minutes earlier then come back to a couple of full road width blockages - very luck no one was killed in both cases tbh.

No publicity for me out of this anyway, not on Facebook. I like the warm feeling you get inside for these secret acts of kindness - although the last tree I cleared 40 cars past me before letting me join the traffic to go home!!!!

Luca - you can't have a baseball bat in your boot...... no one questions a chainsaw?!?!

It made Yahoo news over the weekend and my local paper, done quite well so far for regonition and plenty of good feedback.Silly photographer made me hold the pole the wrong way to get a better angle, so looked like it was my first day again lol...

but all in all quite happy with the write up

Kind-hearted window cleaner is helping motorists by cleaning local ROAD SIGNS
Like it . My parish council has a meeting on Wednesday and the cleaning of the parish road signs is top of the agenda /emoticons/biggrin.png. Unknowingly to me my mate from the air rifle team is the clerk. I've offered to clean the phone box too . IMO to the other posters that have gone ahead and cleaned off their own bat, I think you should get permission. That way they know who you are and maybe get put in the spotlight of the community. Maybe get free advertising in the parish mag, name put forward by the councillors for village hall cleans etc.
