Wait for online payment

My payment slips ask for payment within five days and then I send a friendly reminder text after seven days. That usually works.

Its a Right pain in the butt, some of them never learn and always need reminding.

Got Go cardless set up this year, and what a difference it makes, all new customers have this option or cash or check on the day.

No more bacs for new customers, its a shame really as bacs is great when both sides play ball.

Cheers will look into it thanks mate

Yeah direct debit only mate or cash on the day thisuse be left out no collection...I've a few still left of bank trans but all new straight onto go cardless or they can do 1...

Can be a pain.

I remind after 7 days then again every 3-4 days. If it gets to next clean due with no payment or reply they don't get done and get told why. If still no payment I send a debt letter and dump them. Most pay up eventually.

its worse when you do them the 2nd time, go to collect , and they try to pay you for 1 clean, pishes me off. this is how we loose some , headache. when you tell them they owe twice they seem pished off.

talking of BACS as you lads have stated when working properly great but when the customers dont play ball and press that button shxte

had it today stuck out in country customer " just pay you online {yeh right) payment never came.

second clean comes along £20 now yeh the old dog would, int have it that two payments due talking to you like ****

so she payed me straught away for todays clean ,checked her payment plan again, and i was right last payment nowt .back to her cave I went explained the crack

got payment and she got the red card ha ha gd result

Had a customer owe me £110+, turned out they sold the business on to someone else without telling anything to me nor the new owners. The new owner said he hadn't seen me clean at all and understandably didn't want to pay. It was incredibly difficult to get a hold of the previous owner from the beginning (didn't speak to her at all actually) and the cleaning agreement was not in text.

One some days I can make that back in less than 4 hours, and I would spend more than 4 hours chasing the money, so I chose to lick my wounds and carry on, the amount of hours spent to perhaps maybe get the money someday was simply not worth the headache and loss of sleep.

Accepting the occasional loss of money that will happen from time to time has made my life happier, I can highly recommend it.

We shouldn't have to accept losses, and I used to hound them for my cash, but nowadays being established it rarely happens, but when it does I let it go, not have a coronary and move on. Life's too short.
