Problem with new ro

Monkeyfoot

Just set up 450gpd ro from pure freedom, flushed for a few hours as instructed. Tap water tds is 390, coming out of ro at 14. After the di filter the water is coming out at 5, I was expecting 0. When I 1st connected the di there was a leak on the inlet, I chopped the hose back a tad & its fine without any leaks but only getting reading of 5 at the outlet. New ro & new di filter. Does anyone know what I can look at to remedy this? Thanks in advance for any advice

Sounds like the DI. Make sure the inlet and outlet are pointing in the correct flow direction. Did the DI come with resin in it? Is there enough resin in the DI?

Thanks very much, the di has in & out stamped on the top so I'm sure they're correct. I presumed it has resin in it but didn't check I'll be honest! I'll shall look at that first off. Thanks a lot for your help

All sorted, the di filter was not hanging level from the bracket causing the canister inside not to seat correctly. Witness mark on the seal showed a little gap, straightened everything up & 0ppm straight away.

Up the 'ornets!
