Working at 60ft

H

Hunty

Hi all,

I have a block I am quoting where the extreme 47 would get me all windows bar 2 which are at 60 ft.

Has anyone worked with the extreme with the extensions as that to the ultimate is such a difference price wise for the 2 windows I don't think it worth it.

Are there any other Poles working at this height that anyone would recommend.

It would be 4 days work 45 ft down so don't want to kill myself.

It's more a question about how it is, working with a pole like that with extensions, not if I could if that makes sense.

I know gardiner products are good, and I would imagine Alex would tell me that but it's more of an unbiased view of the pole working if that makes sense (although if it won't reach 60ft please let me know!)

I know but it is a little different to that, the first modular takes you 5 ft and the working height of 47 is 52 ft so I'm not sure if I can get away with one as the 2nd modular pole is a modular it's not telescopic if that makes sense, I emailed gardiner who have responded but I didn't ask the right questions to be fair so going to reply to them.

Their are two ways you can take the extreme 47 to 60ft

2 standard modules extension will see you just under 60ft

Triple telescopic extension pack will give you 13 ft extra and a working height of just over 60ft

If you plan to go over 60ft or use more than 3 extensions you will need the hs modular extensions these are a lot more expensive but will be more stiffer these can go to around 80ft.

A: Quote for with those two windows and without and see how quick they are happy to miss those two out.

B: Search eBay for a local cherry picker hire. (As low as £25 per hour round here) and get one in for a couple of hours.

I clean them from a cherry at the moment but they want a quote from pole only (I don't have ipaf) so it cost them me plus the cherry driver, potential more money for me of course I know harder work but I will make up for that in the quote [emoji106]

IPAF is only £125 I thinknit was for the course.Worth having if you want to grow commercial.
its a little more as your better off getting the muilt ipaf that let you drive the sissor lifts ect ect as some times you can get away with a straight lift and there cheaper to hire

Hey, I got both the extreme and the ultimate... only use ultimate for 2 floors on one of the blocks on the complex but was worth it for value if job... extreme is my favorite I'm sure I got an extension on it?! I would stick to extensions rather then modular on that but that's only cos I love that pole and would want to keep it the same.. such a pain for only 2 windows [emoji85] ultimate is no joke.. it's got handles lol.. deffo not saving that on your own in the wind.. in second pic ultimate goes to top.. left pole is extreme...

the standard extreme 47 as a reach of 52 foot standard so it depends how tall you are and how far back you have to stand

Burger that for a game of soldiers, wouldn't know what to quote for that. Probably easier than it looks but as it looks nigh on impossible it must be.

So @luca will the extreme get me to 60 with the telescopic extensions

As I said I'd love to have the answer for you... 60ft is an odd size for me as I have a range of poles none being that height I believe... my point was that I love the 47 and would suggest getting extendables for it as that's what it's designed for rather than switching (something I never actually knew you could do) but some above mentioned... I'll check tomorrow I know we definitely don't have 2 extensions on it but possibly one?! And much easier than getting the ultimate... that's harder to extend than the extreme so would make easier work if u only need to get to 60ft. Hope that makes sense?!

Hahaha the good thing about that is once your up your just moving across then down not lifting off and to next window... or balconys like we also do at 80ft... that bit is graft lol
