Health and safety compliance when employing someone for first time

Hi there,

We are going to be taking on our first guy to help us on our round in the coming months and wondered if you could advice us on how we can best comply with the laws around health and safety? I can think of some specific Qs, but please feel free to add more if I've not thought about it.

- Do we need any health and safety certificates?

- What insurances have you taken out to protect you?

- What training do we need to go on/send him on?

- What sort of money have you spent on getting health and safety compliant?
