Some advice on WFP trolley systems

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Finally got my tds meter and it read at 73 ppm. Also tested my 100l water butt and that's coming out at 43ppm, if I could somehow use the water butt in my set up that would be great. Getting quotes for the different trolleys and delivery to Ireland is getting beyond tedious. Still waiting to hear back abou the PF and Unger but only emailed them yesterday. Finally got quote from Xline after 5 or 6 days but still waiting on the delivery quote. Quoted me for:

- 45 Litre X-Trolley Portable Trolley System

- 25ltr Water Container (x3)

- 11 Ltr Resin Vessel, with Quick Release Ports + Standard Distribution

- Xline Digital Pump Controller

- 25 ltr Bag of Unger Ion Exchange Resin

- Evoline Mono brush 26cm

- Evolution Pro 30 Foot (Hybrid)

How do xline poles and brushes compare to likes of Gardiner? Is there anything else that I am missing there to start up wfp? I emailed xline back asking if it included a hose, that was 5 days ago. Must be doing some good business there.

Can I recommend getting a quote from Gardiner's for everything, may be a bit more but customer service is beyond great and Alex is on here if you get any queries about the gear

Th

Thanks mate, might get the pole and brush separately from Gardiner, as everyone seems to recommend them.
They also do trolleys etc, have a snoop, and if anything goes wrong, Alex will probably be able to diagnose the problem on here, and tell you how to fix it.

Had a look there they have a backpack and trolley but would like a bit more capacity than 20L, although be curious to know how long they would for before I had to top up . Certainly would be handy to pop in here if anything went wrong (which it probably will). WCW got back to me about the Unger which I found out here that need mains water supply for the pressure .. so that's out.

I keep coming back to the xline it's a nice and compact and it's 45L and I can lay it flat when in the car. Website called the cleaning hub, they sell the xlite 45l but have water genie poles aswell as the xlite poles. Not sure which are better?

Got quote from Pure Freedom, gave up on Xline horrendous customer service & Facelift trolley too big.

- 25l Trolley Drum and Charger

- 20mt Extension for 25lt Trolley

- 3 25L Drums

- Fitted 8" x 35" (25 Litre) DI Complete

- Pole Valve (I asked him about remote controller but he said valve was quickest way to shut water off and on)

Also asked him about onboard tds meter but he didn't say much about that. Was going to get pole and brush from Gardiner separately, any advice on which brush to buy? Guy from PF seems to think that is all i will need, any other suggestions would be very welcome?

I've been using a 25ltr PF trolley for nearly ten years. I replaced it with a new one two years ago because the original one was looking a bit shabby. I could have painted it I suppose, but didn't feel like it. I keep it as a backup now.

The trolley fits in the back of my motor easily with six barrels of water. They are a sturdy bit of kit. I prefer the older one with the folding handle as it fits in my trunk better whereas the new Nano is too tall. As for the tap, have you considered the Univalve from Exceed Innovations. It fits inline in the hose and is sited in the top of the pole. You operate it by pulling on the hose to turn the flow on and off.

Hi Marko,

Cheers for the reply, I'm new to wfp so I actually had to google univalve lol. I'm just going on what the guy from PF suggested, don't know if i'm ready to start installing my own bits and bobs ... looks pretty cool though and probably a bit better than the pole valve come to think of it.

Your setup is exactly what I want to go for. Whats the different between the Nano and the normal 25l trolley system?

EDIT: You can get the univalve add on on water genie poles so might go for that instead of pole vale, thanks mate.

Check out univalve videos also on how to install invalve YouTube you wouldn't be disappointed if you buy one.

Think they come pre installed on the water genie viper which would be great. Definitely get it instead of the pole vale. What would be the best brush type for large panes of commercial glass? There's soft, medium soft, stiff, medium, flocked etc. Also 35 and 45cm, christ there's a lot to choose from.

So many toys, that's the main flaw with wfp. You think you are only going to buy 1 item, then you end up buying 20 new gadgets and spent way to much, much to the mrs's annoyance!!

I know, its fun. When I'm bored I go through various suppliers going "I'd like that, and that, and that, oh that looks good I'll get 2" and so on. Luckily for me I've never pressed pay, as I wouldn't live to see it arrive, it just sits in my basket with more stuff getting added on until I need to get something, then I clear the basket and start again!!!

The Nano is the latest PF trolley and looks to address the weight issue of the standard trolley which is quite heavy and you will really notice this if you have to lift it in and out of your vehicle many times a day. Whilst the Nano is physically smaller than the standard trolley it still carries the 25ltr barrels. It also uses a Lithium battery which is much lighter than the lead acid one fitted to the standard trolley. I believe the Nano is about half the weight of it's big brother which means you should be able to lift it in and out of your vehicle with one hand.

Better than 10 or 12 years ago when the choice was very limited /emoticons/wink.png

Don't get the tap on the pole from pure freedom, the univalve is so much better.. Everything else from pure freedom is great
The tap kept falling off mine, it leaked from day one and the loop in the hose kept getting tangled. Tried fixing it up a few times but in the end took it off. Found it so much easier just to disconnect the hose lol

I only lift mine out twice a day....to start work and to put back in garage......lock it to front or rear of van.

Sounds perfect ordering it today, hopefully be here next week sometime and I get cracking on it.
Just remember, all cleans will basically be 1st cleans again as you have to strip back all the film &residue left from years of tradding. They'll take twice as long 1st time and half the time after that.
