Black spots on windows - Fly pool? How to remove?

Hi everyone, this is the first time I have posted a question but I use this site a lot and thanks in advance for your help. I am amazed no one has asked this question before.

Has anyone come up with a quick easy way to remove black spots from glass?

I quite often find my customers have black spots on their windows (I think it is fly poo) and it gets worse as we come into summer. It is similar to the black spots on UPVC frames and sills. I don't worry too much about cleaning it off frames and sills as that is not our job but it is so hard to clean it off the glass. I have tried different applicator sleeves but nothing works too well and the scrubber pads on some sleeves are useless.

Again, has anyone come up with a quick easy way to remove these black spots from glass?

It's a common problem. If you let your water soak on it, if you have time, for a bit, and also a strong additive/detergent solution will help. Spots on the sills sometimes come from when people paint the gutters, so I wouldn't worry about them.

Tbh a good microfibre scrim removes the stubborn ones with a little scrub. Anything harder gets the scraper.

Magic sponge or 000 bronze wool while you are soaping up the glass if they are bad then blade as normal

If it's fly spots, then it will be all over the window (at the top) and you'll be there all day with a scraper or wire wool, that's why a good soak will cover a big area and usually remove it.

Shotgun or Artillery Fungus. It's an absolute pain. Won't soften or dissolve with water or soaking. If they're within reach you can flick off with a thumb nail and then soak and brush residue but I've found scraper on pole is easiest.

Thanks very much for your comments.

I do try leaving them soak if it is not in the direct sun but I still find that doesn't remove it. And I try to us the scrubbing bit on applicators but they are useless. I have some houses in the country which are the worst and its all over the window so a thumb nail doesn't do the job and I was hoping to discover a magical way that didn't require a scrapper (I still hate using scrappers, Im always so worried Im going to scratch the window). I haven't tried a magic sponge so will try that.

Thanks and if anyone does have the magic answer then please tell me. Thanks.
