Moerman rubber that bad?

Had the liquidator last week but was tearing my hair out with it. Leaving turn marks and having to put loads of pressure. Ordered some face-lift red rubber and put it in today. It's like a completely different tool works perfectly with much less pressure and no more turn marks. Did I just get a bad rubber with it or is moerman rubber really that bad?

I use moerman rubber in it all the time, perhaps there wasn't enough slip on the glass if leaving turn marks? Did you get the edges of the rubber wet first?

As they need that lubrication to avoid turn marks.

Moerman is what it's built for mate check polz n bladez on youtube, he uses it. Different rubbers different thickness etc.

Tried extra soapy water. I could get it perfect but had to used loads of pressure. Just seems so much better with the red rubber in

Have you nodded the channel for RAZR red? If not lines will creep in again. Moerman rubber is good, if it was the one that came in channel could be that its had a bit of a battering

The red razr is good but you can't beat moerman rubber

No need for any pressure

Hard lasts me a lot longer anyway yes. As davey will say it's all about being accurate on edges of frames as well.

The soft moerman rubber they send u are no good at all lasts a couple of houses at most , heard the hard rubber are a lot better but I just use the red facelift

What are you doing with it to wear it out on 2 houses??

I will use the same bit for over a month if using to trad bottoms daily

Then I will cut it down to fit the next smallest size channel I have

That makes 1 piece last a few months

I've had them since before they first came out since an early prototype lol with no issues

Tried other rubbers and always go back to Moerman

I use just the soft whatever time of year

A lot of it is down to technique and not smashing it up on the edges although i am not always gentle with it

Always found that RAZR red is harder than Moerman's soft so lasts longer.

Still to try Moerman's hard rubber, @Chris3 recommends it I think?

I've used loads of different rubbers, in order of best - worst in a liquidator channel (my opinion)

Moerman hard

Moerman soft

Ettore master

RAZR red

Syr medium

Pulex hard

Pulex soft

Unger hard

Unger soft

Blade angle to glass... if you find you're pressing too hard to get rid of lines, angle is too shallow and wear on ends of rubber will be excessive and happen quickly. keep raising the handle a few degrees until it glides cleanly and smoothly. Once you dial in the angle you'll find you'll barely have to apply any pressure at all. Discovered this a couple of weeks ago after giving Razer Red in a 40° handle another go...super smooth...huh? Transferred channel to an Excelerator handle set at my normal 25°... ****, tugged at the ends and screeched to a halt on dry glass. Raised handle a few degrees...voila...like it was on ballbearings.
