I knew my water might be getting high this morning when i filled up but i forgot to checked it . Finished my last job and for some reason i checked it 50ppm . Drove home emptied the rest of the water down the drain changed resin and filled up again .I then went back to the houses i did to check the windows expecting to do them all again but they were all great .Strange i thought what can it be it was the ruddy tds meter. I had 3 different readings on my tap water 118ppm 210ppm 240ppm .Worst thing is i put 200 lt of water down drain

That's not good mate! At least the customer was non the wiser and still happy.

I just checked the water that i threw away as i put some in my back pack with another tds meter and it was 9ppm which is about what i thought it would be around .

Prior planning and preparation prevents **** poor performances lol bet u were gutted after flushing 200l I hate wasting the pure stuff

Mark how much water do u go through in a week and how much u spend on resin per month mate?? As your ppm is high

£80 a month = 6000lts, but i have just brought a 40/40 ro as i am taking on more work so it is going to cost to much twin di

it is not the cheapest way but i do it this way for a few reasons --

30 minutes fill 450 lts up

dont need space for a storeage tank

£4.00 a day

for these reasons i have stayed with twin di my water is high 240ppm so most people would get much more water than me i am how every in the process of going 40/40 as i am taking on more work it is a big set up cost but will give me water the very cheapest way

my water starts at around the 440ppm.

i have plenty of room to have a stoage tank too so its the best way for me, plus i know there is always 1000lts waiting for me if something should happen, like water company need to shut water off for repairs or anything like that.

it only costs £1.44 for 1000lts here and im on a water meter too.

i have not got the space so i would have to rent a garage so it would work out expensive for me any other way

thats true, not everyone has the space, i started off with 3x200lt blue barrels down in the celler, then i broguht a 1000lt ibc tank for £35 so thats when i had to put it all outside,

I've just got a 1000Lt tank and a rainwater filter just need a pump to transfer I'm going to start harvesting

its a good pump. can fit all sorts of diffrent size hose to it, smallest i would use is a 25mm. plus it has a auto shut off when the water level get low too!
