Hiya all im in the process of a selling a round and getting stressed out by it all.

ive been cleaning windows for 25 years, and rounds have always been sold like this

buyer comes and looks at the round, speaks to the customers, looks at the houses

decides if its for them or not - and if they want it pay a deposit and do a couple of days working the round or longer if they want to work it all, if they want it - pay the full amount for the round and it changes over hands - simple....

But Ive got a buyer for my round, he came round i showed him the book and he said he wanted it,

so i said right ill show you round the work then - he said no its alright - then handed me over a deposit and said he wants it -i said well you must want to see the work first he just flatly said no - but i want to work the round with you for 4 weeks first - as i was in no big rush to sell and he seemed like a decent lad - i said yeah that's alright.

But after a few phone calls ive relised hes got this crazy idea in his head that him and his mate will clean it for fours weeks and whatever he earns that amount gets took off the final selling price of the round example he cleans £700 in a month and that gets took of the price.

so i told him no it doesn't work like that i said if you want to work it that's of your own back - i dont lose any money out of the sale whats so ever, if i work the round with you for four weeks you dont keep any of that money, thats mine.

i said to him if you want to start earning right away ill take you round it and introduce to the customers and show you the houses and we'll arrange change over, but untill you pay me the asking price you dont get anything - but he still doesnt get it - has anyone ever come across this before.

he seems like a decent lad, maybe just a bit ignorant ive explained it to him about 3 times but i dont think hes getting it - and it stressing me out now

and as well - its like he wants to use the money from a months working it to go towards paying for the round.

he said this is how its done - as hes bought rounds before like this.

just say cash upfront or cya later mate

simple as that

no timewasters

dont let no 1 mess u about mate if they dont understand dont worry another buyer will come /emoticons/smile.png

Maybe say yes we can work together for 4 weeks and go halfers or whatever on the earnings.. BUT that dosent effect your asking price?

Selling a round seems as stressful as buying a round.. I hope I never have to do any lol
