How do you know if there clean?

I scrubbed > rinsed > repeated this a few times.

What else can you do? Im getting a bit worried... (They guy was ment to call me today) I cleaned a large paying house today for the first time. All the windows I could see came out well considering it was a first clean and there were really bad. I even waited outside the house until they dried lol. I cant help but think ive screwed up the velux windows

On a side noted, I cleaned those sash windows? I think thats what there called. The old style ones? I wont take any more of them on, not doing them WFP anyway. Bloddy night mare it was, there was paint, putty, small chips of wood every where lol

with the sash windows try to just clean the glass, I switch the water off and wipe the brush across the bottom of the top sash (does that make sense) For the Velux windows I really struggle but got a good tip on another forum off jouke who said clean the window then pull straight down with the brush to pull the dirt off then rinse. You have to use jedi powers with velux windows.

Whatever you do they will be cleaner than they had before. After a couple of cleans you will be just maintaining them in a cleaner state. Bcause of the angle at which they are on the roof they will always gather dirt, just like fanlights on regular windows.

The customer will probably be pleased to have them cleaned as nobody else will have reached them from the outside before.

I like suggestion about using brush to pull dirt down glass. I do this on occasion and it does work.

Harsh reality is you can never be sure with Velux, you are typically stood too far away to see small spots of bird poo or honey fungus, unless you want to start inspecting your handywork with binoculars of course, but then somebody might get the wrong idea! /emoticons/biggrin.png

I was doing velux windows yesterday and just can't get the scrubbing power to remove some things. Before I got the pole try we're never done in about 5 years so they were pretty bad! Hoping the scrubbing pad from tecbuk will get it off

Yeah need to get a new set of skyhooks as mine are getting worn out. Anyone got a link to where I buy some new ones.
There are websites devoted to the joys of sky-hook!! A simple google will divulge all you need to know
