Extension Pole Instead Of Ladders?

Tried the wag. Just cannot get on with it. I wish I could as it would be great to do this. Still cannot believe you will get a good clean doing it this way. An okish clean but no way a good clean.
Which one did you have? I'm going to get a wagtail soon I think..

One with the yellow handle that swivels itself. In theory it's good but tried & tried just could not get the hang of it. May give another go sometime.

Theres no way you could do that with a pole though, that would require an insane amount of skill. Took my years to get it right doing it from a ladder. I still **** it up now and again lol
Basically to do it with a pole you do a couple of mini pulldowns to give you a clean point to cut in from then angle the squeegee a bit and slide it across so that you cut a strip at the top of the window clean with the corner of it. then you so a sort of rainbow shaped seven into that, doing pulldowns as you go across - i'll try and find a vid, it's hard to describe. but it leaves the window clean and I don't need to detail. I use ecover and vinegar which really doesn't streak or foam up or cause problems, prolly helps me. also my squeegees are dogeared which makes a big difference.

yh i know about dog-ear'd channels, and i know how to blade to minimise edge lines and that still doesnt convince me you could do anything other than an ok job at it off a pole

Also theres no way that can be quicker then ladders. & as GM said I'm still not convinced but hey if it works for you good luck mate.

Kips, tell you what mate, show us a video of YOU doing the squeegeeing off a pole, show everyone here including myself and convince us, how well a job YOU do! /emoticons/biggrin.png

I would also like too see this, because if it works I might give it a go, do u recon at the end of The video, you could zoom in on the window that's been cleaned ??

Well i'll do my own window in my bedroom - it opens in so I can come upstairs with the camera and show the edges of the glass /emoticons/smile.png Just have to tidy up my house first as I'll be running through it with a camera recording! /emoticons/tongue.png

Havent gotten around to making the vid yet.. But I will! Been a bit busy with various things...

Lol Daley, I think your onto something there lol.

Mine came today but I read it wrong and the pole is like 3ft long when extended, which is useless lol

That is a bit short perhaps, aye. Just get one of the £15 harris poles from b&q - cant be beaten for the money if you ask me. 5 metres soplenty of reach on em.

Daley you're definitely on to something haha. I've already decided to cover the lens with my thumb while walking through the house tho as I dont want the entire interwebs knowing the layout of my house and whats inside it!

Lol good idea kips.

As for the video, why not make a short ad for your company, this can be displayed on paper as you walk through the house lol

'cause i'm only making the vid for you 'orrible lot and if I did it as an ad it'd actually have to be good! /emoticons/tongue.png

Good idea tho /emoticons/smile.png

put an Anza pole tip(also in BnQ ) onto your Harris, THIS TIP IS AN EXACT FIT for a wagtail . in heavy snow and ice i use a Harris pole allday long , no complaints

I do pole work myself, only use a ladder when I have to. I've got a 6 meter Unger pole with a Unger Visa Versa on it, do a few windows then whip it down, put a micro fiber on & quickly go round the glass. I use an Unger brush to put on for first cleans to give the whole window a good scrub. Never had any complaints & so much faster than ladder work....in my opinion.
