I'm sacking using the aquadaptor had spring go last week do ended up losing large part of my day wich cost me well over £100 as I was unable to fix it on the job. To fix spring you have to drill out rivets to get to the spring and thn put rivets back in way to much of a chew on

I have been lucky with my aqua adapter but if mine broke i would just take it off and carry on with out it so why could you not do this?, so it did not cost you £100 ?

Yeah lost 4 hours of day not including extra diesel money it will cost having to go back . This is third time Iv had problem with springs

thats why i stick to the tap /emoticons/smile.png

How much water do people save in a day compared to a tap and aqua dapter ? surely no more then 5 litres ! /emoticons/tongue.png

First of all, why would you lose a days work because you were unable to fix it on the job? You could have carried on working by turning the aquadapter on and off at the rotary wheel. Yes, it isn't ideal and you would have wasted a little water, but you would have still done your full days work, albeit with a little inconvenience.

Secondly - which spring is it. The tiny compression spring that works the locking lever is the only spring that needs to have the rivets drilled out to replace it. This spring wasn't even a sold part as it doesn't break often.

If its the main spring the returns the carriage to its top position once the supply pipe has been released, then that can be changed in a couple of minutes with a pair of long nose pliers. I'm sure aquadapter has a 'how to' video on their website - if not then there is one on youtube..

Read what I put its the spring behind were section tht is riveted if it had been the other spring I wouldn't of needed to drill rivets out and I lost days wage because I needed to go and try to get ut fix buy rivet gun etc as I had a large first clean booked in early following morning so I needed it fixed for that

Sorry - I didn't understand that it was that little lever spring you were talking about. There was a W/cer on another forum that was ranting about having to drill the rivets out to change the main spring so I thought of that post when I read yours.

That little spring doesn't break often.

We now have 5 AD's between us - I carry spares but am considering a complete unit in case the same thing happens to me as it has to you and we can't fix it on site.

To get you out of trouble on a job If an aqua-dapter parts ever break just run the hose on the oustide of the pole instead and connect directly to the brush. Simples.... /emoticons/wink.png

Hi Shaun,

Sorry to hear of the problem (only just seen this thread). If the Aqua-dapter is under warranty you can send it back to us and we'll fix this for you. We also have an Out of Warranty Repair service where you can have parts replaced and the unit checked over.

Paul
