it's got 127000 on there now and it has no panel rust apart from a little blister on the wing

but underneath i couldn't say tbh .

on the pic you cant really see it its where the light is reflected off the bonnet where it is dented

also the both kidney grills are just hanging in there now .

well thats gonna cost about 400 for the bonnet 2 new grills about 75 each without vat and then the bonnet to be painted thats just under a grand excluding work and vat

If you repair it via an approved insurance repairer you will find they might want to re spray the wings and bumper to blend in aswell as the bonnet, the bonnet will be pushed and filled rather than replaced as a BMW bonnet would cost more than the labour to repair that.

I doubt it will be a write off, unless more damage is found underneath.

It looks like a good example and has a low millage for a BMW of that age

Sorry I take that back, there are over 25 oin autotrader with similar millage for less than £1000 an they don't really go by "book" value anymore, they go by what it would cost you to replace it with a vehicle of similar age, millage , condition an spec on the open market.

So looks like it will be written of, expect an offer of around £750 - £1250 if you wana argue it then you'll need to prove its worth my from at least 5 clippings of for sale adds with the value of around what you want. Although you might get lucky and get a nice engineer who will value it nice and high

They will look nationally no locally, and remember they won't be putting any price restrictions on.

They will try an offer a cheap price, so make sure your armed with evidence.

I had a claim myself and I showed 10 bits of evidence showing to get the same vehicle, it would cost £1800.

The showed 7 examples of the same car at £750, I got paid out £900 in the end. If they can prove you can get It cheaper they will go with the lowest price.

What is it with lazy ass window cleaners these days ????

The last 2 times I have been canvassing I have puck up new customers from lazy window cleaners !

1st one I quoted £10 for glass sills frames doors etc etc and her last window cleaner charged £5

But didn't wipe sills down nor the frames !

Then tonight I puck up another I quoted £12 and the window cleaner they use is charging £6 but doesn't wipe sills nor clean the doors etc etc .

So it just goes to show you lazy ass window cleaners book ya ideas up or lose ya customers to blokes like me who go the extra mile !!!

So all in all this week I have puck up 5 new residential customers meaning a £676 a yr pay rise just from offering to go the extra mile .

its not just trad guys either, i watched a wfp guy just go round and brush off the galss didnt do frames or anything!
