No mate, better shine. Steady with the vinegar though.Hi all, newbie on here and to window cleaning , I have tried ecover the last time I was out never really noticed a differance from fairy , but I never had vinegar in the bucket , will try it this saturday , I'm guessing it baldes better with the vinegar in it ?
Never ever ever use washing up liquid of any kind to wash your car or van, it slowly eats away (yes even if rinsed as you can never rinse it completely) its the main contributory factor to cars that get rust round the bottom of the doors as this is where it doesn't rinse from properly.
Tesco do a car cleaner which does not contain this acid and is only £0.89p last time I checked!!
That doesn't help but using an acid based cleaner strips the protective layer on the paint which protects that inferior metal, so long as the metal is protected, it won't rust!!The main contributory factor as to modern cars going rusty, is the cheap, inferior quality of metals being produced, and then being used in the car manufacturing industry.
He did say that /emoticons/biggrin.png if you don't want to use ecover just use the pure water, it wont take anything off but dirt, it'll leave it shiny as hell and really won't be any worse for your car than it sitting in the rain.Like I said.....You would only use Fairy Liquid to wash a car if you wanted to remove the previously applied polish and/or wax, prior to claying..re-polishing and then waxing.
Fairy Liquid will not eat through the laquer which protects the paintwork.
Where abouts you from?bought some white vinegar today as we don't use it in the house will give it a go tomorrow I have 39 council /& ex council houses to clean doors/windows roughly 10 per house clean glass & wipe cills down , 8:30 start on glass(not much pop tonight) quite a compact round best I have done is 32 ...but just been at it a few months weekends only as I have a mon-fri job till 21st dec then full steam ahead for window cleaning .
