CALLING ALL SMART-ALECS AND WISE-CRACKERS.

I have been window cleaning for about 6 months now, and I have been using the name of my old company, which doesn't really make sense.

I am looking to rebrand my window cleaning/handyman business, and I need a HILARIOUS and memorable company name! Those of you who know me, will know that I don't take myself too seriously, so feel free to get creative.

If you want a business to be taken seriously and thrive, you need to treat it seriously.

Present it as a joke and you'll look like a clown.

Besides, how do you define hilarious? What's funny to you may not be to other people and coming up with a gimmicky, amusing name customers remember is not going to be easy without coming across as amateurish.

If you're serious about rebranding choose something search engine friendly / optimised that describes the business and includes 1 or 2 keywords, you could also include a location in the name but a few services related keywords will help more - 'window cleaner/ cleaning services / handyman' etc etc.

Keyword(s) in business name and / or domain name are an important ranking factor in both the local 3 pack results and the organic search results. It's not going to make or break you but keywords in a business name give a ranking boost - and help customers understand what it is you do.

Most of my customers are only interested in clean ones.?

My first rule of advertising : No negatives. I'm trying to sell the vision of what can be. Not what they already have and are sick of looking at. Selling the dream. Modest enough as it is. A small thing can be a big enough deal if it's been playing on someone's mind for a long time.

Like when I had a rusty
old underpowered Hillman Imp 30 years ago and saw a beautiful silver Cavalier GL with a black vinyl roof, GTI trim and special coloured interior on a dealer's forecourt. I had to have it. T'wasnt easy at the time. It was a fair few years old but looked stunning and was just within my reach to buy with finance. I felt a million dollars when I arrived at the kayaking venue (Rhossili Bay) with a good buddy and our boats on the roof.

Lol Davy you are showing your age with Hill an imps ????? I remember well changing the drive shaft donuts on them regularly from to much wheel spinning as a young apprentice at the garage ?????

Yeah mate! But you know what! No embarrassment or apologies to anyone for years of different experiences, good, bad and middling and miles on the clock. Aging isn't a great thought but the alternative isn't ideal either. ⚓?

My party piece was to pick up the gearbox and engine of a Hillman Imp and throw it into the furnace. The engine was on an angle and I used the gearbox mounts as a hand hold to do it.

I put my back out taking a mini engine out like that.

You're a bit bigger than me though?

It must be awkward having a newly formed business and working with New Company Name Ideas as your company name as you've waited for replies to come in with ideas

must be a tongue twister when answering the phone
