there isnt really much knowledge that you have to know to build your own system. as long as you know some basic plumbing and electrics you will be fine. most of the stuff that you need to know is on the internet anyway.

I was having a look for one of those cheap controlers and couldn't find anything anywhere, where did you get yours rc?

i'll mail you the link for them

ladder would a vack pack just be easyer mate im same as you trad but im getting backpack in new year for dodgy windows and ones that are too high for my ladders.

backpack are cheap, but then there is the extra weight on ur back and arms, they are not the easiest things to use. you ahve to carry several barrels to fill up from and filling up from a tank is slow. they are good for the odd one window but not god if you have a large area to do.

well i carry 50l with me in my van for trad,25l tubs not heavy for me never mind 18l just sit it on floor next to you instead of yer back.you lads witht the van systems dont know what graft is lmfao

Yer true, does depend in those areas,

The ones with back road access is fine. But that's why I built my own portable pump and system for houses that have no back access.

Why do terraces at all when with a van mount when you can earn much more on semi & detached properties? I now pick and choose what I do instead of messing about on small jobs like that now. Simples....

I had a competition once for a laugh with a trad guy working opposite on the same style block of bay fronted terraced houses. We started together to do the same number of houses. I finished so sat in my van then 30 mins later he came over to say “bloody hell mate that was quick where did you get your kit from” /emoticons/biggrin.png

With some of the terraces houses here that I have cost £10 each, I have 5 in a row, takes about ten minutes for the fronts and about 15-20 minutes to do the backs, so nice and easy £50 in 30 minutes, most of the streets here have 100 houses on just like them, so if I could get a days work in the street that would be a better money earner than driving from house to house.

were i am terrace houses are the mecca of window cleaner fast coin simple houses
I agree with that, no traveling from house to house, if I could do those 5 house in 30 minutes, just think what you could do in a 7 hour shift! 60-70 houses and at £10 a time now that would be a good days work I think!!!

You can do 3 detached an hour esaily in a street and earn twice that amount working less (£60 - £80 plus per hour) without driving around much either....Go figure /emoticons/biggrin.png

I prefer to work smarter not harder now /emoticons/wink.png
