hey gavin why you deactiveated your facebook buddy ???????
Because I despise Facebook I absolutely hate it , it is evil !!!

People add you on Facebook just so they can be nosey and brag about absolute sh1te ooh look at us blah blah blah we have this that the other and it winds me up rotten .

I still have my business page as it is a tool for my trade .

Ta, but already found it in Iain's profile /emoticons/wink.png
I didn't realise non-VIP members couldn't see it. I'll put some work in to tomorrow to make it more visible for non-VIPs. Sometimes you'll see my banner ad at the top of the forum but its on a roll so sometimes it's me, sometimes it's Asian Hookup!

You shout all ya want mate, we think it's wrong/unnecessary that's all. No'one thinks you're a joke either, at least I don't and we all do what we can for our kids and I do commend ya for that. The recession though should be one of the reasons you don't go through with it, a lot of people wouldn't want to commit and you can't expect them to mate. Just my opinion post on here it's what you get and you have to expect sometimes members will dissagree hell some do with me but I don't care and even take something from it sometimes.

My customers would laugh at me. You cannot commit them to a contract. There are so many windies out there they would just laugh at me & go elsewhere. You build up a rapport with them, get to know them & dump the ones that s£&t on you & then you get the near perfect round. You do not need a contract. Also with it if it says you will clean there windows every 4 weeks what happens if for whatever reason ( illness, van breakdown etc) you can't get there. Can they sue you???

If a solicitor's written it, I'd imagine there's a clause to protect him against unexpected eventualities or a "force majeure" situation

wtf ? a contract for every customer yeah right.... dont get offended but i think this is the worst idea ever mate... if u were business minded u would not think of contract ? you are business minded... but not in the right way mate.... i think u should just scrap this idea... its the worst idea ive heard since ive been on these forums /emoticons/mellow.png

no 1s gonna want to commit mate... dont get me wrong,,, 1/10 customers wont mind putting pen to paper... but like its window cleaning mate... your not signing messi or ronaldo u no mate.... if customers dont pay chuck them off simple as that mate and replace them with 2 better customers...

LETS SAY..

if they dont pay... what u gonna do threaten to sue them over 10 pound debt ?

scrap the idea mate... cos its never gonna work and i i can tell u now it will never work at all /emoticons/wacko.png

u can do this to commercial customers yeah mate.... but come on have a good think about it ... the worst idea ever sorry mate

i think your a joke, you come on here asking for advice, then get the hump when people tell you what you dont want to hear, you have 12 customers a month, people on here are more established and more experienced, so why do you think you know better?

Ill be honest, I thought I something similar, like putting a note through as a receipt when I ha done the work, with a clause on it saying if you don't pay out then a £1 fine every 2 weeks. A few windows round here do it.

But then I thought, what would I do if I was the custie, and the answer is, I'd drop you the window cleaner after the first time I saw that.

I've been on here sometime now and joined In with lots of threads to try and get a full understanding, I'm still not there yet, but much more informed now than I was a few months back, point being:

Listen to what everyone is telling you, the majority of window cleaners can't all be wrong !!!

Unless they have tried it how would they know? /emoticons/biggrin.png

well i did have about ten pages ready for you to read but i thourght why wast my time in venting and saying that i dont know everything.

I you want to do something different from the norm then why not. Good for you /emoticons/wink.png

yh why not do it differently to everybody else, im gonna start cleaning windows by throwing water bombs full of ecover at the houses, maybe that will work?
