Thanks for the support everyone. Picked up a little part-time Security job which will definitely help towards income. Still need to pick up more work now though- I seem to be giving out a lot of quotes, and not hearing anything back. Not sure if interest is slowing down due to recent weather? Thinking of chasing them up, but not sure how to word it without seeming desperate or un-professional. Any suggestions anyone? Anyone else chase up their quotes- seems a waste otherwise, but not sure how to word correctly? /emoticons/smile.png

Just call to check they received the quotation, ask if they have any questions and how it compares to other quotes they've received. Thos will leave it open to sealing the deal.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm canvassing from door-to-door and leaving business cards with interested people who want a quote. As budget is major tight at mo, can't really afford to leaflet drop areas, so I'm working a road noting the 'not homes'(especially the dirty ones) and returning later/next day. I feel I need to maximise quote leads (as their is clearly some interest there), but don't want to seem like I'm desperately chasing them! Any pointers on how to word chase up visit and how long to leave? /emoticons/smile.png

Keep it light and friendly. Try and get some feedback - both good and bad should be expected. I don't know if you're doing traditional or WFP but both have their pros and cons so be prepared with some positive answers to any questions.

Just knock and say, Hi, I'm back in the area tonight giving some more quotes and just thought I'd pop in and see how you found my quote
