Not sure if Richard gets on much at the mo, so I'll throw it open. A while back, in one of the tecbuk review threads, he mentioned that he'd be reducing the weight of his brushes to nearer 200 grammes. Hence I was wondering if he'd achieved that goal yet or if he was anywhere near? Also, are they sill brushes, as I like them, don't have to mess about altering angles for over connys!

I remember Chip, don't think it was a sill brush he was on about, way it's made I don't think he could make a sill brush and make it lighter, it might compromise the rigidity.

Did that sound like I knew what I was on about

Just stick a cheque in the mail and all will be forgiven, well if it's blank it will /emoticons/smile.png

Hi Chip,

Yes I have made a few brushes; 130g for a Boars Hair brush and 185g for monofilaments brushes, 20g with aluminium pole connector and 10g with pencil jets, hose & Y piece (10g extra for quick release Y piece) 160g – 225g depending on the brush & parts used.

All these brushes still have 7 rows and 35,000 -50,000 plus bristles/monofilaments, depending on type

Too early to say what going to happen with it, but at moment I still prefer to use the Aerial brush. The only benefit with these light brushes – provides - is if you use a bendy pole, a lighter brush with help reduce this. I only use Carbon Fibre poles, its all about speed for me, CF poles are just faster to use.

Sill brushes aren’t needed for regular windows, as long as the brush stock is narrow and the bristle splay wider, and cleaning a conser roof is an altogether different approach.

Richard

You lot, clear off, I'm talking to Richard!

Thanks Richard, yes it's for the poles sake rather than mine. Any idea when you'll have the lighter range up and running?
