The New Wagtail...

So they've made improvements to the Wagtail which is great, but.........

Why couldn't they design the new version with a quick release system for all the different size blades.

Maybe they'll do that for the NEXT 'NEW' version and grab even more of our money.

It just p!sses me off because you can gaurantee the NEXT version WILL have 'quick release', and Wagtail will be after even more of our money just to have yet anotther 'New and Improved Wagtail'.

Quick release from wagtail, that will be a few versions away, they dont even have a decent system for holding the rubber in, its ****, just different for the sake of being different..!

I've wedged two small thin pieces of cable tie in at the ends, this also has the effect of 'dogearing' without cutting the channel.

I cut-up a couple of cable ties into very short lengths and keep them all in a 10p coin/change bag (which I keep in my pocket).

Good idea, shame though that they cant just bring out a better product, it works brilliantly on a pole, but the build quality is rubbish...

I was going to cut the channel like 'Wagga' has in his video, but thought if I mess it up it'll cost me more ££'s for a new channel.

Does anyone actually know what "allowing for the force vectors of the squeegee to be placed at their most optimal position" actually means?? Cause I gotta say i'm baffed.

I've had a Wagtail for some time now, and I think it is cheaply made, especially when it's made for professionals, which means alot of use. I dog-eared mine, but it wasn't much better, now the screw that holds the channel has worn the plastic away. I don't bother with it now, back to trusty brass squeegee.

iv gotta say iv been using my old brass squeegee again recently, its a 10" channel so fits in more fanlights,etc, modified grip mind,lol

I only use he wagtail on a pole, with an angle adapter. Ive recently done the whole wagga system mods on it and its the best thing ive found for trad poling windows - but for stuff I can reach im way faster with regular trad tools. Still, its a fun toy and gets lots of attention from custies..
