Is there much difference in rigidness between the clx 22 and the slx 22...

I was thinking of getting an slx 22 but just noticed the is only 60g difference in weight..

So is it really worth an extra £100?

Hey Belfast

I've been doing a lot of research on this subject lately.

While a nice light pole is good, the key is the more rigid the better, so the 100 quid difference is not just about the weight difference, there is quite a bit of difference between the clx & slx in rigidity.

Having said that, i'm not so sure how much difference that would make at 20/22 ft.

But if it was me i would treat myself to the slx over the clx. A lighter and more rigid pole = a much nicer pole to be working with over 8 hours..

Good luck

one good thing about the clx is the whip in it,now used correctly this whip takes a lot of strain out of your body,so that 60 grammes in a more rigid pole may not be what you want ?

their both decent poles /emoticons/smile.png and do the job so up to you /emoticons/smile.png

If you decide to expand your operation and clean some three and four story mid rise commercial buildings you can buy more sections for an SLX and your're all set. The CLX would be to whippy at that hieght because the CLX is a residential pole.

The CL-X is a budget pole, (Decent) the SL-X is a premium pole. (It's a lot better) Personally I don't think you can beat a good stiffy!

yeah i know that /emoticons/tongue.png but extreme is to much ££ lol i wanna hear his opinion on the smax /emoticons/smile.png

Marty,

Please don't call a Gardiner pole a budget pole. haha

gardiners clx may be a "budget pole" but i bet its better then most poles out their on the market:)

Sorry about that Mikey /emoticons/tongue.png You can read affordable instead of budget if you prefer. /emoticons/smile.png

At it's market level I'm sure you are right H.

well i received my new slx 22 yesterday.. but let my pops use it.. was quite flat out yesterday so i never had time to have a go.. but will be giving my own their 2 monthly clean today!

I don't think it needs a review mate lol.

Well I just done my own windows, it's 500g lighter and you can feel it! Sure does feel a lot stiffer too, and it was easier cleaning and on the arms cleaning over the extension with pole stretched out.
