Thanks a lot Mark, i live near hastings, sussex land of the living dead mate. not a good base, so i,m lookin at going further a field.

Thanks Dodger looks like you have built up a good company well done if i had of stuck at it i might have been as big as you who knows hey.

Welcome Kriss, there's plenty about in Hastings and st Leonard's but there's also a lot of big houses out in the countryside. It's just a case if getting out there and finding it.

I'm further west than you and go as far as battle and bexhill although I have one block of flats in st Leonard's.

Good luck with building your business, just keep it steady!

Dave

Thanks a lot chaps, Dave you,ve got a big outfit looks like your one of the big guns well done, if i had stuck at it all them yrs ago i might been like you, but its no good lookin back at what ifs just got to look forward ,thats if the riots don,t start here like they have in europe today, dodger you might have to watch out you live in a city mate. You both got good sites very nice,

I've been doing this for less than four years. I'm a one man band but doing enough to keep my head above water. There's rich pickings down here though, just get out there and keep your prices up. The prices people are charging on here are very low, My minimum charge is a tenner and I've done a couple of houses today at £100 a throw. I am using WFP though as I believe it's the way to go.

Just keep at it and it'll come.

Dave

Only 4 yrs Dave you,ve done alright mate, ive looked at WFP they is a few bob ive had search about for seconhand unit but nothin doing, ive got the van for it a 05 lwb high top transit, i just missed out on a 55 lwb high top connect on the bay the other day, that would have done me story of me life WFP comes up i bet i miss it me and my poxy luck.

I bought an 05 SWB Renault Trafic when I started and bought an Ionics 600l system on a three year lease deal which cost me£300 per month inc vat.

It's been paid for for about a year now and my systems still going strong.

I know they seem quite expensive but I really would recommend them. I got everything I needed plus a couple of days training and haven't looked back.

The main thing I'd say is to get out and knock on doors and don't try to get other peoples customers by undercutting. You'll only lose them when someone else cheaper comes along. You're aiming to get the type of people who say to you "no thanks I've already got a window cleaner".

Dave

When i started in 98 i just stuck an ad in the friday ad and it just took of from there public saw me around in the street or up me ladder can you do mine love what number 26 okay and so on, that was mainly bexhill and cooden that was most of my round had a bit of hastings, so i,m just going to do the same do some shops i hope to go further a field this time around as i,m used to that sort of life just need to sort out a smaller van then i can get things moveing mate.
