Some Other Windy Undercutting Me By 25%

Went out collecting few days ago and I have a couple of flats priced at £8 each, one of the customers said they'd had some other window cleaner offer her his service for £6, lucky for me she told him she's not interested in switching as I do such a good job on the frames and cills /emoticons/tongue.png

OMG how can they justify doing the work at £6 regardless of if they are even registered or not!!!

I do a flat 4 windows £5

The one underneath £6

And another on another estate £6 I wouldn't be able to get more than that though for a 1 bed flat .

I do some biddies flats for 4 quid but 4 windows each and fly through em. Still a quid a window and very compact.

For me not really, 3 is like doing a large 3 bed semi and 12 quid is good money round here for that and I can probably do these much quicker too.

I've got 2 old ladies that just want the front of their houses done - takes me about 10 mins each and I only charge 'em £3.50 each but they are very small jobs, window upstairs, window downstairs & door..

i do fronts for some £3.3 windows easy cash not alot but its there just had a jack a$$ ring me saying i want my windows cleaned only worth a fiver a month she then says ill call you as and when i want them doing i said dont bother put phone down some tight fcukers round here.

i was talking to a landscaper who was telling me about a guy on the dole who was undercutting him and taking his customers , so he was fuming over this scumbag and came up with a idea , he got 2 friends to follow this guy around for a couple of hours constantly taking pics of him working , they even managed to get one where a lady was handing him cash ,eventually this guy made an approach to them and they drove off. this guy hasnt been back to any of his customers in over 6 months so obviously he thought he was been investigated by the dole or inland revenue ,brilliant idea i reckon .

i got a few good flats /emoticons/smile.png started of on 1 customer.. now got 6 customers all falts are compact next door to eachother /emoticons/smile.png very good earner for me /emoticons/smile.png all the customers have came to me .... if i knocked on doors i dont think id do well because its a run down place with a lot of people who just sit in their flat and drink cider all day long ! but most of my customers from the flats are all old pensioners

tbf though, you dont actually know if this guy is on the dole or whatever, maybe he just canvassed and offered the price he could do it for, maybe his overheads are lower so he can afford to do them at a lower price.

i mean, when i go canvassing i dont deliberately undercut anyone, but im sure iv had plenty of customers take me up because the last guy was charging too much/not doing a very good job, dont you?

im not saying that he's not a dole-dossing wino scumbag, but he could just be any other windy canvassing trying to build their business, the same as you and i?

Yes but he's moved his racket elsewhere, thats not stopped him. Just report him - I would

i have one that is 2.50 but its 1 window, but i only do it becuase I do next door and above and a house 40 meters away so i get 22.50 for half a hours work.

we all have different prices, i usually charge what i would expect to pay if i had mine cleaned,try it yourself, be honest would you expect your other half to pay some of the prices some charge, and for the time taken, come on be honest., i would hate to have a window cleaner and owe him twice, id do them myself LOL

Thats the problem, a lot of people would say the same but I really think they ought to be reported. Its the only way to deal with these scroungers.

i love the way, if some one is cheaper got to on the fiddle, you lot need to get down to cornwall, £6 is the average job and most wc earn £100 a day and are happy

same here mate,take what half people say on any business forum with a pinch of salt most are talking sh1t if there that busy and making that much money they wouldnt be sat on here all day.

lol, i agree, there is no indication in the original post that points to this guy actually being on the fiddle, only that he knocked the door and gave a price that was lower than his competitor, move on, get over it.......dont hate, congratulate!
