the person that mailed me for bing next was :- whostolemyhair

Im looking forward to trying it. My brushes are all in need of replacing but I've been holding off till I could try this first. If its as good as I keep hearing ill be wanting three the same as Belfast. It's such a good idea trialling products, Richard must be very confident in his product.

Harunh, I don't have your address details.

Hi whostolemyhair

I am confident in the brushes (product) so are many other window cleaners; but I don’t expect every window cleaner in the UK or overseas to think the same way. Anyway I hope you like it when you get to try it.

Ultimately it is up to the operator to use the brushes to there best, they are - Tecbuk brushes - extremely fast to use. But you have to be confident in your own ability, know you own customers windows and apply the correct cleaning method, coupled with the right type of brush/bristles for the work.

Many window cleaners in the UK don’t have a Boars Hair brush, with certain work/grime there is no brush that can clean faster with this type of bristles, so to me they are obviously losing time & money - its obvious they believe they are cleaning fast with there current brush - but that isn’t the case. Even the same types of brush (Boars Hair) can be different.

Below is an email from a regular customer I received a last Wednesday from the USA –

Hi Richard,

I received the new brushes from you and have been fantastic. I find them really great on my 40 foot Gardiner and is super light. Really like the hog’s hair brush and has been the best I've used. Other ones have been way too heavy and have too much drag. Yours has the drag but from the smaller size it does not slow me down. The only thing I don't like is the smell when the brush is wet in my van (Like a wet dog) but that is normal.

Thanks again

Howe Sound Window Cleaning

The difference between Window cleaning brushes is huge, and they need to used accordingly to gain the benefits from these differences.

Richard

I done an interior and exterior window job this week. The windows were put in about a year ago and have never been cleaned All white PVC windows. The boars hair works brilliantly, the scrubbing power you won't find in any other brush. I done the outside first. On the ground level glass I seen some silicone marks and scrubbed it a bit with the boars hair and it took it off!!

I was able to check the windows while doing insides and all perfect. The 3rd storey windows there was 1 with a few silicone marks that I never seen from outside, but was able to open the window and get from inside.

Customer was very happy too!

So would a boars hair brush be used for first cleans only, or could they be used for all types of cleans  .

Be gentle with me, don't laugh.....I'm still learning .

Yes Bingo, you can use them for all types of clean, you can use a Boars Hair brush for all your regular maintenance work.

I have brush customers in the UK who only use the Boars hair brushes, they love the exceptional cleaning abilities a brush like this has, they always know the windows are perfectly clean – removing all stubborn dirt on the glass - as Belfastcleaning has just described they do out-perform any other type of brush for scrubbing.

You must use a higher water flow rate with these types of brushes to maintain any kind of speed with regular work; some of the customers use 5liters a min (water) on the longer bristles length Boars hair brushes, although I do make a duel trim Boars Hair brush which can be used with a lower water flow rate.

Richard

A Boars Hair Brush will drag more on the glass, a higher water flow help reduce/eliminate this and keeps the brush moving much faster. I use a short bristles version (duel trim) with 2.3lt a min water flow rate, this works fine for this brush, longer bristle brushes would work easier with a higher flow rate.

A lot of window cleaners have tried these brushes in the past, but unfortunately they never turned the water flow up so had a bad experience with this type of brush, older Boars Hair brushes are also much heavier than mine, mine can weigh as little as 210g less than half the weight of the typical Boars Hair Brush.
