Just as it says on the tin really...

If anyone has multiple advertising campaigns, which works best percentage-wise?

If anyone has multiple websites, which one works best for you and why do you think that is?

I will be fascinated by the responses. :)

No mate not really .

I do a bit of canvassing as and when I can fit it in but don't really want to much work to be honest as I have to work around the wife's work hours and the kids .

Facebook is a good source of work too but you now have to pay to promote your pages posts .

Ive spent a small fortune on advertisement since I started, some has worked and some didnt.

Yell.com, Add words, local Newsletters, Magazines, Websites, Sponsoring roundabouts, flyers, business cards, BT directory, canvassing, Facebook, Facebook paid advertising, big banners, reverse graffiti. The list goes on thats just off the top oh my head.

Out of all, my best would have to be my Website, Newsletters, Facebook.

I have just started with the sponsoring a roundabout I have high hopes for it.

For me,

I tried the Flyers.dont waste your time or money.

People tend to bin them no matter how dull or fancy like look...potenital customers like seeing who they may be dealing with.

I Just started knocking doors on a saturday morning, best chance of getting people in..And to be honest its worked a treat.

Dont get me wrong mate its hard work, must have window cleaners. You dont wanna stand on any bodys patch...

Im looking into getting a web-site set up Atm, but must off my new customers come from Referrals...

When using a van or car, Get the graphics looking good, It advertises its-self & first impressions... say a lot

Good Luck Mate

Website is the way forward mate, Ian (member on this forum) will do you a good deal if you get VIP membership.

I agree about sign written van too, I dont agree about being on someone patch though. No such thing

get 1000 flyers printed to give custy when you go knocking,

knocking is the best way to get custys, knock on saturdays from 10 - 7 sunday 11-6 and week days between 6-8 and in 3 months will have a full round

I love the reverse graffiti idea! Does it not annoy people though? Where do you do it?

I agree. Never used flyers but know someone who has. Cost him an arm and a leg and got about 1 in 200, a rubbish return.

Knocking doors I think though is canvassing, not advertising. I was just wondering about advertising.

Was in Thomson, a waste of time. Had a swish ad in yellow pages, which did ok. Joined FWC and use their corporate advertising offer. Done well from that before Internet took a real hold. Not so much interest now, but still gets the odd job. I have my van sign written which gets the odd job. I have a few Adwords campaigns which I stop and start. One gets me about a 1500-1700% ROI, it is only seasonal, but very lucrative. But overall, 90% of my enquiries come through my websites.

If you don't have a website these days, you really are missing out. I sure your investment will pay off big time.

Familys recommend me to ther other gamilys housr and next door neighbors get their neighbours to go with me aswell which is good for me my van sign writing hardly gets me any calls /emoticons/sad.png

Do you use your van over the weekens much? Park it outside a shop or on a min road so that the traffic can see it?

1) Signed Van

2) Website (make sure its highly ranked)

3) Flyers (its good to have, if you go out canvassing you can always leave one if not in, and if someone in, leave them one) Cost me around £90 to get 10,000 A6 full color double sided

4) Canvassing

5) If you can afford it, sponsor a roundabout

The top 4 works for me, never done the fifth, but being told it works.
