How Do You All Advertise?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

1) Signed Van

2) Website (make sure its highly ranked)

3) Flyers (its good to have, if you go out canvassing you can always leave one if not in, and if someone in, leave them one) Cost me around £90 to get 10,000 A6 full color double sided

4) Canvassing

5) If you can afford it, sponsor a roundabout

The top 4 works for me, never done the fifth, but being told it works.
The roundabout thing is done by our local council. I got a price a couple of years ago, they wanted £1600 plus vat! I just laughed! They filled em all up though. This year, not many are renewing. Either the prices don't provide enough ROI, or no one has the money to spend.

Door knocking all the way, cant beat it. One guy I know has been doing telesales for gutter cleaning and has been having some great results. Ive done some market stalls recently and picked up 50+ first cleans over a couple of days hope this helps.

Market stalls sounds good like a sunday market? What about standing outside a supermarket with your van parked up and asking people? Is that illegal?

This is a real good idea...

When we did our City and Guilds for window cleaning (Impact 43) one of the trainers said car boots are really good. Just set up ur stall, have some company banners made up have some flyers and a note book, cheap as chips and let them come to you.

Costs around £14 for the stall, if you get 2 customer it's paid for it. Our trainer said it works really well... Might be an idea to try it if you want more work /emoticons/wink.png

I might be wrong, but I'm sure I got told it's £500 for the year per board...here in Leeds. Thing is, we have so many idiots of window cleaners who would just keep on pulling it down. Already had a few traditional window cleaners sending me emails and writing to me saying they would do this and do that if they saw me in the street... they never come up to me and say it to my face. These are the dodgy ones, beer money crooks. Saying that I did have a window cleaner come up to me around 18 months ago, telling me to leave his patch... I told him straight, he came right up to my face so I just took out my phone and took a picture of his car... cut a long story short, nothing happened, but I was ready for it.

Never seen him since lol.

If you become a member of this http://www.nmtf.co.uk/ you can have a stall in shopping centres all over the country and europe you get other benefits too, the government are talking about relaxing the peddling laws so standing outside super markets handing out cards etc for long periods of time will become more tolerated in the future. Currently you only really get as long as it takes for them to spot you.

I have 1 guy whos does a 2 page advert for about 2000 homes in my area and hes been doing it for years so people read it and I got a small add with him for £20 a quarter. I have got most my work by business cards but next year I am going to do canvassing and carding together as I need to double or triple my round next year. (my second year)

I think the first year is more about learning and getting it right.
