By they way lads if you don't know already you can have more than one domain name point to a website /emoticons/biggrin.png
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.

Cheaper than one I normally use so I know where I'm going for 2 domains I'm gonna point to my website, not that getting em from my old host costs a lot but ya know what tesco say.yep i've found www.lcn.com on domain names to be very resonable indeed /emoticons/wink.png
google bot doesnt like thatBy they way lads if you don't know already you can have more than one domain name point to a website /emoticons/biggrin.png
You don't lose out entirely because googles current algorithm looks for associated words along with the actual words searched for. E.g. I search for 'spelthorne window cleaner', google will recognise 'clean' to be associated with 'cleaner' and so you will still score points with google when it comes to google rank as it will see 'clean' in your URL. It WILL be harder for davesmith.co.uk to compete with you, so your URL is good. It has a keyword AND is easy to remember.I'm currently sorting mine with a big help from dodger.
Must say I really like mine and much prefer having the domain as my company name even if it loses 20% on seo, it still makes it easier to memories, plus when I get my van, if someone sees it the are Gona google clean n simple not spelthorne window cleaner although I will have landing pages eventually for spelthorne window cleaner etc etc
I agree. The recent penguin update is aimed specifically at that sort of thing. It is not you or I who google are targeting, it is mass spammers, but you and I will be affected if we have too many urls pointing to the same site. Google want to provide the best possible search engine, they do already, but want it better. Spammers who redirect loads of URLs to one site are one of their main focuses at the moment.google bot doesnt like that
Safe as the proverbial houses then! Thanks but I don''t redirect loads to one site just one other per domain and google bots have already visited my sites with the latest algorithm you mentioned /emoticons/smile.png
nice structure - only s - easy to work with them - perfect control via cssJust got my site uploaded its work in progress /emoticons/smile.png only cost me £7 for 2years result!

I agree, it's something you should never do. Wait until its done and ready to go live.I think the worst thing you can have on a live website domain name is website comming soon or website under construction.
Best add some content asap..... /emoticons/wink.png
Yep. It can still be a work in progress to you, but that should be indiscernible to your readers. All good websites are works in progress, but you will never know.I think the worst thing you can have on a live website domain name is website comming soon or website under construction.

It doesnt do much thoughBy they way lads if you don't know already you can have more than one domain name point to a website /emoticons/biggrin.png
What about sub-doamins?Hi guys
Sorry I've been away for a while. Been a bit busy lately.
Having multiple domain names won't help your SEO. If you've got more than one domain name then it's worth forwarding the traffic from all of them to one single website. It's best to do this with a 301 redirect which can be done through most control panels or your host can arrange this. Don't buy a domain name just to have it forwarded to your website as when Google sees this, they'll just ignore it.
The best advice I can give for local SEO is to get your business listed with some local web directories such as Yelp and FreeIndex as well as more specific ones such as The Window Cleaning Directory. It's also important to get listed with 118 Information as this will get your business on Bing maps. Having a Google +Local (previously Google Places) is an absolute must as well.
