Thought you might like to see what I use to access the roofline as safely as possible using a ladder without drilling holes in ppl's walls. Before anyone asks I'm not going to step onto the roof /emoticons/biggrin.png Also the base of the ladder is 2' away from that wall

What do you think?

Top of ladder is fitted with mirolite standoff http://www.laddersto...-stand-off.html

Invaluable bit of kit and I use it on every job. £125 + vat & delivery

The ladder is permantly fitted with ankalad stabiliser http://www.laddersaf...tabiliser.shtml £95 + vat & delivery

Stops the ladder slipping backwards & sideways also stops ladder bounce so the ladder is more ridged when climbing & working.

Can be used on slippery surfaces too when using a normal ladder would be very dangerous to atempt. Also can be used as a free standing ladder so long as you don't go higher than the recommended height.

Got both off ebay for £90 (nearly new for the two) so saved myself a fortune /emoticons/smile.png

Be careful what you bid on as there is plenty of rubbish listed on ebay too /emoticons/wink.png

That one in the pic was a 15 min job to unblock the downspout including setting up & packing away for £35. Would have charged extra if they needed the guttering cleared and guttering & fascia cleaned. So you can make easy money unblocking downspouts & gutters. Do a few in the same street and make a day’s wage easily in just 2-3 hours. /emoticons/biggrin.png

looks good, how you gettin on with that??

scaffold is safer

yer thats true, gutters are a quick way of getting a good wage when you can get them!

You can get them all year round rc if you try and to be honest you can earn more money than cleaning windows.

Do both and your quids in /emoticons/biggrin.png

Need to use the right kit though like I do which looks the part and gets loads of work including using a guttevac too for awkward jobs /emoticons/wink.png

Very nice bit of kit Smurf

Thanks Mark, I must be honest without that kit I probably would have given up doing roofline work a long time ago as most of the time I work on my own /emoticons/wink.png

Like most ppl I know what it's feels like when a free standing ladder slips away from a wall which is not something I would like repeated again....

Very strange as I've just tried the link again and take me to the 12 rung triple combi ladder page

max working height as 3 section ladder 7.2m 23'7"

closed height 3.26m 10' 9"

weight 21.5 kg

They all contact me by recommendation, repeat custom or new prospect that have visited my website. That's it...

First thing you should do if not already done so is get a good website built that is search engine optimized so can be seen on the first paid like dodger and others can build.

I tend not to knock doors or drop leaflets as I’m far too lazy to do that but are another options you could try to drum up some work. Also if you've already got a customer base let them know what services you offer too.
