It's prob just cause your scrim is new mate, keep washing it? Maybe try hanging on the radiator for a while to see if it helps..

I find in summer time, hot sunny days you can really notice we bots of fluff etc

i was taught to wet the scrimm when I use it, it must be wrung out so its almost dry, so its in a tacky state. if its too dry or wet it wont work.

you have to boil new scrims if they are not pre washed, you usually get small fibres from scrim when new, ring them out tight if need go round with washing scrim then use your second drier scrim to dry, but keek your dry one from getting wet., always ring your drying scrim out in water only with no washing liquid in water, keep this one different from your washing scrim.

Dog earring is where you slightly bend in the end of the channels, give slightly more pressure to the blade when pressed against the gasket.

Ahhh! Thank you!

No bother mate. I personaly don't do it but many do, Don't find a considerable difference when I've done it. I don't tend to leave that much water behind and when I've dog earred its only a little bit less then normal so don't bother doing it.

hi ya /emoticons/smile.png i see a good tip on a yank forum were they use a natueral sponge, to detail after mopping the window, then squeege of, if i am working in the rain i mop the window then detail with the scrim then squeege of, if its ******* down any mistakes you make will be washed of any way /emoticons/wink.png ............pete

I dogeared my 6inch blade today to see if it made much difference, I was pleasantly surprised it does work, so on Monday my 12inch blade will be getting the same treatment, really does cut down detailing and therefore also cuts down time spent

You will also use a rubber every 1-2 days

Whats this " dog earing' date='" never heard of that before[/quote']When the ends of squeegee channel are bent or cut and bent (new way) in towards the rubber blade, it stops the rubber riding up seals etc and cuts out most of the need for detailing (when done right).
Search the site mate there's plenty of videos posted.

Dog earred my 14 inch & 12 inch blades brilliant I cannot believe the difference it cuts out 95% of detailing , not noticed any wear top the rubbers yet & thats two days I've been doing this /emoticons/biggrin.png
