Anyone know much about buying a property to let? Apparently a good time to buy if you have the funds

if you do let an estate agent rent for you, as its murder to evict anyone, i know from experience

what costly or hassle or both?

both, by law a person doesnt have to leave the property even after you have given them an evistion notice, with out a court order, as if you ask them its can be classed as harressment, cost me about 6 k, loss, damage and unpaid rent, he went council and told him i was harrassing him to leave, they tried doing me for it and let me know the rules, it was an eye opener, i would never do it again, if you go with an estate agent, then they deal with this all the time

also a person must be 3 months behind on the rent before you can try to evict them, but if they keep it at 2 months behind, then there is nothing you can do

Im renting at the mo, but my landlord rang me the other day and said he has a buyer for my flat and he said can i get out earlier than march which is the end of my tenancy , so i said to him if you can help me out with money to get in to a new place i will move out, if not then im staying till i find somewhere else
