Getting The Gitters

Getting it all done is on thing, everyone paying on time is another. Have you factored in people not paying every time?

Yes .... I know some people are slow payers, the rounds I have bought are well established and I have them off family, I have worked two of the runs for the last six months and all are good payers so hopefully the other four rounds will have good payers too .... my income just now before tax and ni is 1170 yes guaranteed money and holiday pay but a pittance, also totally fed up working to make someone else cash

I seen a few regular payers start to slow down with their speed of payments. Where the cheque would land on my door mat a couple of days after cleaning it is turning into two or three weeks now. I use to let some payments mount up but now if they haven't paid by the second clean they get a knock and a please pay up note before cleaning is resumed. Seem like an invitation for them to cancel but normally does the trick. Keeping a good record of who and who hasn't paid is useful or you can find the round owes you a lot of money.

Well it seems like years since I told my work that I was leaving to start my own business tomorrow I will work my last shift and then self employment.

I am still getting jittery but I know it's the right thing to be doing.

It's a weird feeling going self employed after 30 yrs working for a boss and having to follow orders.
