I have a 100 gpd ro and di unit getting it down to 003 at the moment whats the limit you can clean with ?

Cleaned with 015ppm before. And also 120ppm on a regular customer. Both dried fine. Wouldn't recommend over 010ppm though.

I buy my water and 3 is fine normal I will say something if it goes over 5 only because I'm paying for it.

Ah good im thinkin of geting a polisher to get it down but i will hold off on that atm thanks guys!

Best to only use 0 ppm as you can then not blame the water for spotting & drip marks as will be down to the technique your are using. You can go weeks without any issues but come across some windows that will spot and leave drip marks. Go figure

I’ve got into the habit myself of never cleaning windows with anything higher that 0 ppm.

To be honest what I call splash & dash merchants some using higher ppm is what gives wfp a bad name

I'm hoping this is a typo
Nope. You will be surprised what you can

Clean with. Depends on the glass and seals.

I have cleaned my windows with 475ppm and got very very little spotting. As remember there is no detergent film. Try your own windows. Or just a window with high tds /emoticons/smile.png

Are you flogging hardwater stain remover by any chance? /emoticons/biggrin.png

It is not detergent that causes spotting but dirt / minerals in the water left behind during evaporation that dries out on the glass.

I know how pure water works. Tota dissolved solids and all that ****.

I am not saying you can go clean windows all day with high PPM.

All I said was I have cleaned with 120ppm and it dried fine

don't throw away good water away at 003 ppm you can go to 15ppm no problem but I like to change around 10ppm

Some areas are hard water and some are soft water areas wouldn't like to put too much tap water on a window in London never tried 120 ppm have tried 037 ppm some windows don't spot some other windows just love to spot soft water area by the way

Not suggesting anyone should but simply run it back through a di will come out pure

Well said Smurf.as soon as I'm over 0 change resin,check everything,brushheads clean.

I'm telling you now,I've picked up so many customers who've got rid of wfp because they ain't checked.

These are normally people who only cleaned windows for a couple of years and jumped on bandwagon of wfp.

You will get caught out trust me.

100% guarantee you will if your being lazy with water.i haven't ever knocked on one door,I wfp and trad,I've gained about 40 jobs of one firm who were not checking.

You will lose customers eventually, you will.

We are not lazy, but if the water is 003 or 009 or 000 it all cleans the same. Unless the cleaner is a complete tool, and doesnt know how to clean windows then they should use 000. What use is 000 when someone rinses on the glass with dirty bristles or doesnt rinse properly.

All our vans have expensive tds meters and everybody is told to check twice a day. Unless the water is over 010 nobody is too worry.

We keep an accurate log of complaints, the last complaint was from July 2012 and that was due to perished seals on the windows. They had gone like jelly and was causing smears on the glass.

What ever you say mate, you've obviously cleaned windows with wfp for 10 years,so you know what your talking about.
