  3. i have no objection to it really. Not relating to this Context but when i have to repeat myself. E.g. when they don’t provide their full name, or address, they only mention the one, or just wont give a straight answer, and then you have to ask.. again.... When people don’t pay attention or follow instructions it can be infuriating as it wastes our time. one time i had a conversation that went something like. “hi how much for ? “ Me - please provide your full name & address & i’ll come to provide a written quotation, thanks answers with neighbourhood and first name only ”please provide the street number and your second name” answers again “but how much will it cost?” Me - ^ (as if to say, the above requests have not been answered) customer - ? by that time i’ve accepted its probably time to give up lol.

    Booster pump fittings

Just looked at the link Paddy. Be careful as I'm not sure you're buying a 'ready to go' booster? I have what looks the same (might be a different model number, who knows?) I bought mine from Gardiners already wired up. I paid £350+ for mine. I don't think Gardiners sell boosters anymore. If you did buy the booster from xline maybe @Alex Gardiner could point you in the right direction for the fittings and wires you'll need. Here's a picture of mine for reference.
  5. Good evening chaps. Just about to purchase the following booster pump for my 4040 RO; https://www.xline-systems.co.uk/en/xline-shop-2/filters-filter-systems/filter-systems/240v-booster-pump-with-electronic-shutoff-detail When you look at the products individually it tells you that they have 1'' outlets. I want to just run my JG pipe through it and the biggest connection I can get for 1/2'' JG hose is 3/4''. @Tuffers is this the pump you have and if so do you know the fitting sizes as I know you have JG connections on yours. If not then I might be reliant on the expertise of @spruce... Any help would be appreciated chaps.

    Weed kill or not?

100% makes sense, was thinking of strimming em originally but was more keen to kill the roots, but hey... not my problem now, power wash & re sand 👍

    Weed kill or not?

Yeah mate at the end of the day you need your backside covered. I’m new to softwashing so been reading up a lot of stuff as i want to do things the right way. You pick up more information the more you research. say somebodies cat went and did something on an area you treated with weed killer and became ill. Or if you killed some sacred remembrance tree that was nearby where you sprayed, then i doubt your insurance would cover you. in reality it would probably never happen but its not a risk i would personally wish to take. ive dealt with drives and patios that are much worse than that, weed ridden. have always petrol strimmed to start, followed by a power wash, maybe a softwash treatment as well. And then sanded. Sealing may give some added protection against weeds. If done right. But its expensive, and if the weeds do come through after all that money spent...oh lord. i would advise against promising that any result will be maintenance or weed free for any amount of time, because people will hold you to your word. as with flower beds and garden borders the custy should expect to weed paths, patios, drives etc every now and again, if they dont then maybe theyre not concerned about it.

    Weed kill or not?

Funny you should say that.. I messaged the custy earlier with a price & she has just got back to me stating that she will do the weed kill, oh well.. problem solved 😁

    Graphic Designer?

They're your best bet IMO. My logo was designed by the guy who designed my van signage, he just designed what I asked and sent it to me once I paid for the van signage.

For a new logo design mate, Ill check fiverr out
  12. I don't doubt any of what you are saying however the simple fact is that back packs are for the scurge of windys like me who can't afford the van mount setup. Comprende? lol

Back pack trolley - water shortage hack

When you get a van and van mount you'll realise what I'm saying. When you can afford a van mount I bet you won't want to use a backpack all day. Your earnings potential will go through the roof! Oh and company logo T shirts and hoodie/sweatshirt.

Back pack trolley - water shortage hack

I don't think most customers give a monkeys what we use whether it be a trolley or a van mount.. Most of my customers are never home to see what is used... Maybe clued up commercial clients might pay a bit more attention.

    Weed kill or not?

As far as i am aware if you are spraying any kind of commercial or high strength weedkiller then you need have a license. I’m only saying this out of good intention not to try and scare you 😊 always check what your insurance will cover you for. it may be an idea to ask the custy to put weed killer down themselves first (they’d save on the labour anyway) although i would assume most warehouse type weedkillers are very watered down and not that effective. i think gardening contractors need to be certified and licensed in order to use herbicides

Back pack trolley - water shortage hack

They've got their place, hard to do an internal courtyard in a Nursing home without one.
  17. I don't doubt the speed that someone can trip over that trailing hose from the van lol but what i do doubt is many windys ability to afford said van and equipment in the first place. I certainly can't! Anyway how should a windy look? suited with a tie? lol

Back pack trolley - water shortage hack

I'm not trying to troll, but why can't people see that a van mount is quicker than these bloody backpacks? I've got a mate who uses a trolley all day, he looks so unprofessional pulling it round. Saying that he's a scruffy bleeder anyway 😃

    Folding Truck / Trolley

Sack Trucks Direct Telescopic Folding Sack Truck 50 kg capacity £56.99 I've been using this type for about four years. My Gardiner Backpack is permanently strapped to it. Very pleased with it. Plus points : aluminium, adjustable handle height, pneumatic wheels, smart looking, reasonable price. Negatives, I don't have any. I did a lot of research at the time and first of all tried one of the little fold-flat ones, which I very soon rejected. No good at all across gravel, soft, or rough ground. Just did fresh research to try and help the op and still think the one I suggest is probably the best choice. I tried to post the link but failed miserably. I'm not too familiar with that side of things. ☺️
