We clean over 160 bizzness in town over 80 shops  we take pride in are work and to see these lot come in and take are work but leve them in this state wtf

P>S i dont usly run around taking pix of others work  but this just had to be posted on line as it was that shocking

I know a few of the nationwide guys as they fill up round here

They get paid peanuts and expected to drive miles between jobs

What do you expect from them lol

The big boss is just lining his pocket, whilst paying someone peanuts. Just tell the buisnesses of the standard of work. They will complain to head office, head office will complain to window cleaning company n maybe get rid of them, but will then just get some other national company thats cheaper n do a worse job, then the buisness will just ask their own staff to do it, as they couldnt do it any worse:)

The problem you have is someone in procurement doesn't want to deal with 50 different contracts with good local companies. This entails 50 audits etc etc. It is far easier to sign 1 nationwide contract, the fact the job is done badly doesn't bother him all he wants is a nice easy life.

Unfortunately that's the way retail work is and has been now for quite a few years and it isn't about to change.

I have watched lads from nationwide not even bother to clean a shop take a picture and walk off.

it also isn't just about one invoice for say 200 shops what a lot of the nationals are doing now is becoming fm companies the will take care of every thing from cleaning, window cleaning, security, electrical basically all maintance and more.

id agree to a point, but the cleaners themselves also are to blame. I have a couple of mates that work for a different company, and they take pride in there work, and to a bloody good job. Mind you they also have there own round, (all legit, fully insured & pay tax) which they do after work, using the national companies gear (with permission of course), so that may have something to do with it.

Of course they're legit and the company knows about it we all believe you.

I know of 2 from nationwide and one from antac who all have work or rounds on the side and not one is legit nor are they allowed to use work vans or tools.

we have also seen that other firm just drive throu town and not clean a job that we no they do they must be geting payed for not cleaning them the compny name is dave moris window cleaners  retail is defo on a downword spirel  its quiet sad realy i think domistic is the way to go these days less hastle and more money and there is bonis jobs like upvc pressure washing soft washing ect

Small to medium sized shop fronts have  been a waste of time and money for a good few years now once they started getting big firms in, Their will always some golden nuggets in their somewhere but on the whole avoid I like the plauge.

i know they are legit as ones my brother in law and I help him with his tax return. As for permission to use company van, they trad 99% of there work, so its only fuel and squeegee rubber so boss turns a blind eye

Bloke who used to live round here now works for them....he used to work for Interserve and would come back round here regularly to clean his mother's windows.....I do them now as his van is fitted with a tracker and coming round here is off any of his routes.

He's also up every morning at 4am whether that's because he likes to start early or the firm requires him to do so I don't know.

There isn't a large national that I know that would let there lads use the vans outside for there own work.Because not only will it probably affect there insurance and cost them in fuel and wear and tear they also don't want Mrs jones phoning the office to say her bathroom windows been missed or when are you due.I know a lad that got caught out this way.

all the vans have trackers it reduces insurance but it also lets them know where the staff are as well as there driving manner.Nationwide for example have around 120 vans out imagine the cost if they where to let them do there own work on the side.
