  4. I use an Astra van! Got a 13 rung ladder on there Pushed right to the front although sometimes due to parking of the vehicle lifting trolley in and out with barrel on does your head in! Trolley in the back with 8 barrels as I only do tops wfp Only problem for me is lifting the trolley in and out with the barrel on! Seems a bit quicker for me rather than taking the barrel of throughout the day! A little bit of graft ain’t gonna kill me!![emoji123] Sent from my iPhone using Window Cleaning Forums

    Rectus fittings

Hi guys First I’d like to thank all of you fellas on here as I’ve learnt so much from here regarding wfp! Must admit if it wasn’t for this forum I’d probably still be 100% trad! So have a few questions so excuse me if they sound silly as I still class myself as a beginner when it comes to wfp. 1) have the same problem with my rectus fittings since January changed them 2-3 times and there the metal/aluminium ones from Gardiner so would like a long time alternative to this problem as it’s a pain when you gotta fart ass around on the job 2)been buying my purified water Which cost me £2 a barrel Roughly go through about 8 barrels a week and that’s cuz I only do tops and be cautious with the water! Reckon could use 10 easily a week So thinking of producing my own water Got an ibc tank but could be moving houses soon so I thought if I just get the filters and connect to outdoor tap and use hose to fill up drums rather than carry them through the house for now! Based in Leicester so I think the water readings are in his 100’s (Definitely not over200) If I remember correctly! What exactly would I need to set this up? Appreciate your help fellas! Also if you could put some links would be very helpful! Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using Window Cleaning Forums

    Someone stolen my 35 SLX

This is crazy!!! Never would of thought they’d come looking for window cleaning tools What’s the world come too!! Seem to hear about this quite often lately I’d just keep them indoors at thee end of the day not worth the risk. Damaged vehicle possible damage equipment to get to your poles! Not worth it anymore! 9. I’ve been using a trolley system for about 2-3 months The fact that I know I’m coming home in 1 piece is a ‘win win’ for me Nowhere near mastered it yet! Done a job thee other day had to go up after to check his gutters and notice a couple of window frames which looked terrible Pulled out my microfibre starting grafting away.(lol) Cant put a price on your limbs mate so just keep going that’s what I say to myself! Although massive fan of traditional! I struggle with my trolley in&out of the van so most times I just lift it with the barrel on Like doing a deadlift[emoji123] Jut keep going fella[emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Window Cleaning Forums

  11. I do a builders clean yesterday and for the 1st time used wfp with ubik Scrubbed the raas out of it! Old frames too Frames came up nice gotta admit But the sills, had to put the ladder up and bling em Maybe was just me with my wfp[emoji23] So agree with check in Pros&cons in both! But hey I don’t want to be climbing ladders in my late 50s[emoji3] So gotta work toward establishing a solid wfp round and obviously my wfp skills Sent from my iPhone using Window Cleaning Forums

    Virosol through backpack?

Does that mean you can use ubik and other chemicals with a trolley system meaning if diluted into a 25ltr barrel and then pump it through your trolley system etc...? Sent from my iPhone using Window Cleaning Forums

    Hose reel

Need to get a hose reel Could anyone give some recommendations As I’m not too sure So many out there just don’t know which one to get! Thinking of setting up 10 barrels in the van with 100 metre hose That way don’t have to bloody keep changing barrels over which is a pain in the nose! Any suggestions are welcome fellas!! Thanks in advance[emoji106] Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  15. So for the 1st time I done a 1st clean wfp (Was quite reluctant as not confident enough) Applied ubik to brush head and then scrubbed old frames(ones with black seals) Settings on pump was 35 as that’s the speed I normally work on! Took me over an hour just to clean fronts And even then wasn’t convinced that I done a good job on glass. Don’t get me wrong the upvc came out nice but upstairs glass cuz of height I mean how can you tell if it needs to be scraped or not? So for example when I done downstairs I saw some places needed scraping so touched up at thee end However you really can’t tell regards to upstairs! Oh yes used a barrel of water to do just fronts Semi bay front! Quite a big1 Am I missing something? Believe pump speed should be higher? And should I use fan jets as they give a better spray I believe? What can be used to scrape tops with wfp Any thoughts would be appreciated fellas! Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
