  1. You need to be really careful when buying/selling work. As someone said, you’re only buying the goodwill of the customers and they may not want to stay with you. I would only buy commercial if I could get a no cancellation guarantee from the customer for a year, otherwise it’s just too risky. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  2. I’ve explained to all my customers when I take them on that I will clean in all but the most extreme weather( snow, thunder, lightning) if they try to cancel due to the weather I politely remind them of this and most change there tune. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  3. I’ve had discussion with the customers and explained they won’t come off using the usual methods, they are happy for me to try something else next time I go, so just looking for another method. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  4. Thanks, I’ll try and remember to get some pics. A mate of mine has suggested bronze wool but not sure it won’t scratch the glass. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  5. Hi , I’ve just taken on a small block of flats and all the balcony doors have a heavy amount of Marks on them. I thought it was limescale or something similar but cannot shift them. Tried a scraper and limescale remover but still heavily marked . Any suggestions what else to try please? Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app

    Anyone heard of Bark

I’m definitely blocking them. Was just wondering if anyone else had been bombarded by them. It’s never happened before and I’ve been in the game 9 years. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  8. Hi everyone, Yesterday I opened my email inbox to find approx 30 emails from “Lisa” “Chloe “ and “Mia “ all claiming to have clients wanting to use my services and that I can access them by signing up to BARK?! just wondering if any of you guys have had similar. The funny thing is the emails have come to my personal email which is not linked to my business in any way.. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app

    Buying work

Thankfully never had to try and enforce the refund clause. I’ve always thought if someone is selling genuine, quality work then they should have no problem introducing you to customers, writing a handover letter and signing some sort of agreement to not grab back the work. If they don’t do these things we don’t buy. Better safe than sorry. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app

    Buying work

When we’ve bought work in the past we’ve always insisted on being introduced to as many customers as possible and hand delivered letters explaining hand over. Also got seller to sign a document agreeing to not work in the area again for 18 months and an agreed refund clause for any cancellations in the first 2 months.
