  1. Builders cleans - Windows

Hi koopmaster, Can I ask what you use to get the cement, mortar and plaster of the windows and the pvc? Do you just scrape them or do you use some chems? Thanks. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  2. Builders cleans - Windows

Question for Green Pro Clean Ltd Hi Green, I know your post is from a while ago, but I wanted to ask you what method you used for removing the mortar from the glass? Did you use any chems? Can a scraper be used without causing scratches? I have seen suggestions for using a white vinegar mix, any thoughts on this? Can the same method be used for frames also? Sorry for all the questions! Really appreciate your help. Thanks! Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app

  4. Chemicals needed for first clean?

Cheers for that. I'll go and search this topic on the forum for the other posts as you've suggested. I have been using Ubik on PVC but not allowing it to sit too long. Might be time for a change! Thanks again. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  5. Chemicals needed for first clean?

Hi Lawrence, you mentioned risks associated with using Ubik 2000 - can you tell me what they are? Cheers! Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  6. Pricing help needed...

Sounds about right, especially the double for first clean. Cheers mate! Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  7. Pricing help needed...

That's great advice. I think I'll be very clear about method etc before I start. I may even price it a little high just as a buffer. Solid point... Thanks again! Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  8. Pricing help needed...

So 30-40 mins for you. I don't have a 45cm brush so it will probably take me a little longer. Great to get another opinion. Do you think those frames will cause problems, running dirty water down the windows? Would you rinse on or off the glass for the top floor? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks mate. Cheers mate. I was thinking it would be more than that...glad I asked. Thanks for your help! Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app

Hi Cookie, It's just the windows. What do you think price wise or how much time? Cheers. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  11. Hi Guys, I have been asked to quote the following job, it's a office building for a food company. See attached photo. Also, the longest pole I have is an SLX35…will this be long enough? Any help / suggestions really appreciated! Thanks. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app

  13. Limited?

Can't say that I know alot about this but my own accountant advised me to remain a sole trader. There are costs involved in setting up as a limited company and no real benefits when you are a small business with a small income. He suggested if you reached a certain level of turnover that it may be worth doing it then, especially from a taxation point of view. As I said, I'm not an expert so really it should be an accountant you would ask. Hope this helps. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
