  1. Separate meter

Hi Neil Well my water without my submeter 4.96 per cube which is very expsnsive. Your water board website will tell you the cost per cube without the standard sewerage charge. Cost wise you need to call your waterboard can ask the cost of the visit to your house. U need a plumber for any pipe work unless you are able to do it yourself. Then make or buy the insolated box to keep it in Then it's maths and how long are you going to live where you are you going to take on more window cleaning etc and use more water. I worked out it would take me 6 months to get the money I invested back it's been 8 months so I know making the savings. Ball park my costs was about 200 quid all in Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  2. Yet Another Brush Swivel from USA

I think the screw thread sticking out the top could do damage to the render around the window frame if you need to scrub it hard. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  3. Separate meter

I forgot to say they do charge for the meter to be fitted and a extra charge for reading 2 meters and not just the one. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  4. Separate meter

Hi Neil You need to ask your water board for a external usage meter. They will then come to your house and ask where your going to fit it then give up a meter fitting mount that then needs to be fitted below the tap and then whole thing including the tap need to be put inside an full insulated box. The engineer will then come back and fit a waterboard meter. You can't just buy any meter. I use Di only since the water down here costs 2.48 per cube with out sewage charge. If you go Ro I would not tell them your producing waste water the external use meter only met to be for fill up water to tanks to be taken away or watering gardens filling swimming pools. You might get away with it if you have a soak away for external water and ensure the waste from the or goes down their And not in a sewage drain. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app

  10. Best price online is thecleaningwarehouse.co.uk but that's before postage if your buying in bulk it works out the best on the internet I have found. if your only after one or two 5L bottles then e bay will end up at around the same price but with faster delivery. Depending on where you live you might find some local supplier and get better prices but that's not an option for me. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  11. Shop signs

Depends on the size of the shop local high street I normally just on 1 or 2 pounds and do them every week with Wfp takes seconds. Big stores i do the low level signs everyweek the big high level signs I normally do every 12 weeks and price how king I think they take some are signs 2m by 2m or longer so I charge about between 2 to 6 quid depending on size and amount of them. 12. Gardiner Poles, CLX vs SLX?

I checked the weight it is actually the same the main reason I going to the s max is I use a pick up truck with a truck mans ti Top on it and I got my pole in on the angle and I got a set amount of room so the s max 27 will fit perfectly I can't fit a extreme in the back of the truck a with the same reach. That's the main reason also I like the idea of a pole I don't really have to look after that well and I can use my big brushes on. Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
  13. Gardiner Poles, CLX vs SLX?

Wcs if you read the Wright up on the gardiners page you know the pro's and con's it's all stated their. But you wont find a post on the WCF which would recommend a clx over and SLX unless is about price. The SLX is the go to pole really most window cleaners from what I have read over my time here will more then likely replace their old SLX at the end of its life or upgrade to the higher quality poles they will never down grade to the clx. I myself will be upgrading to an s max this year. Since I want to make my life even easier. It's all down 2 things weight and stiffness. Any water fed pole cleaner will tell you that from experience. The lighter the pole the less strain on the body which on a long days makes a huge difference or high level work like gutter cleaning. The stiffer the pole the easier it is to move and clean windows the more you have to struggle to get the right pressure to clean the glass then longer a jobs will take time is money in this game. 14. What are the best non power up reels please

I been using the clabber for 19 months I fixed in the back of my truck I had no problems with they are nice and strong you need to guid the cable in as you reel it in I can see it lasting me a few more year easy. I think 250quid for a manual reel is abit expensive Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
