Personally, if I were starting up, I’d just get my water from spotless to start with.
If after a few months you think you can make a go of it, and your starting to build a customer base, then I’d start thinking about producing it yourself 👍🏻
Then your not wasting money.
I’m uneasy about just stopping work one day, and never doing anymore at 67 or whatever.
I’m planning to start cutting down much earlier while I’m still fairly young. It’ll mean I’m still doing a bit in my 70s, but window cleaning is the perfect job for that.
Even a couple of easy mornings...
Redbacks all year round.
The non steel capped ones.
Tough, comfy, waterproof and last for ages.
Always wear them with Darn tough socks as well. Lightweight in summer, thicker ones in winter.
Yes. Medium sized modern 3 bed semi. 3 windows and a door at the front 1 down the side and 4 at the back. £16-£20. 10-15 mins work.
South only though??
Obviously there are other factors in play. Do you need the work, do you have work close by , is parking and access good or bad, all these...
If I recall correctly, you wears shorts all year which is daft. You’ve got no chance of staying warm.
If your body is cold it restricts blood flow to your extremities, so your hands will never warm up. Likewise when it’s hot it does the opposite.

In the last 2 months I’ve lost 1 customer ( husband made redundant). And 1 has asked to go every other.
Other than that nothing has changed, I’m still picking up the odd house here and there.
I used to do them years ago. Always worked on 15 mins per Window minimum . And adjusted it upwards for difficult or big ones.
Made really good money at the time. Hard work though.
1st rule of investing, “ never put all your eggs in one basket”.
Just stick some money each month in an All World Tracker, forget it and get on with your life.
The definition of a good business, is one that does what you want it too.
If that’s to earn good money in a short time so you can do other things, or running 5 vans , so you can earn lots. Or earning £100 a week to top up your pension.
If it does what you want it’s a good business.
If it...
