I want to stick my di in the van as it is in the way in the garden where i have space for it and will get a second so i have a twin di setup in case of emergency as i have customers i could fill up from if needed

I use ro/di to fill my water storage so pump pure water into van tank so only need to move di in the van instead of after ro

How do i do it?

Tank then pump then di then reel i would assume rather than di then pump due to resin getting in the pump filter

Any advice would be good

Ta peeps

I do!

i put 2 x di after pump. I like it because I fill the tank with tap water and I can flip some levers and bypass di altogether for fascia cleans.

Its nice to be able to top up at a happy customers house. I always ask and no-one has minded yet, but I don't often need to do it

This is the setup I have at the mo. I filter my water through my RO system into my storage tank. I then transfer this water to the tank in my van. I then have a 10 ltr Di Vessel in my van. I like it this way as the last thing my water touches is my Di so I know it is always pure.
You are correct, tank, then pump, then Di Vessel, then reel.
Don't know what size resin vessel you have now but in my humble opinion it is less hassle having a bigger one (7+ ltr) as you have to change the resin in it far less.

I have a 25l resin vessel

Does it not put strain on the pump?

Dave I did this.

I used to have d.I in shed so put pure into van tank. Then I decided to put r.o water into tank and d.I on the van.

BUT there is one problem if you use a backpack you can no longer fill it with pure quickly using a bilge pump or tank tap. The only way to do it it having some barrels of pure or running it through th van system into the backpack. I was getting frustrated at doing this and waiting 5 mins to fill my backpack so have taken it out and gone back to the old way.

Your d.I must be after the pump so you can't get airlocks in the system. It possibly does put strain on the pump but then so does using a univalve or tap on the pole I wouldn't worry about that.

I've got a 25l di and was worried about how high the pump has to push the water to go through it

Then i thought hold on i clean 4 storys with that pump lol

Son prefers using his backpack. We have a 25 liter plastic container on the van which he uses to decant water into his backpack. He then fills the container with the vans pump slowly, 2 on my controller. This fills whilst he is cleaning. 90% of the time his 25 l container is full as his backpack is empty.

Makes sense.

I hate using the backpack. I always begrudge getting it out. Nearly break my back humping it off then rattling it around on a trolley. Inevitably you have to lift it up some stairs etc. My lower back is not the best and I just find it too much hard work to use regularly
